Nope not going to happen with this version of the game. Maybe when they build the next one with Unreal 5.
this
if you successfully installed JB's TPP mod, you would get disappoint
if you wanna know how to install, feel free to ask me or send fr
i often answering on nexus
works well and you can explore it
but no face animation as
Dartnet said
also walking animation is weird, when you turn to combat, forced to back FPP (for safety, you can disable this but not recommended)
your V just keep looking down like mental ill person
also you can set to over fov 100, have to add or change lines in json file tho
but hits to fps much and slightly blurry
The TPP (Third Person) mod is the option, I have been using this mod since the early versions- I have never had any issues with it - providing you install the dependency mods (CET and the SpawnO body mod to correct the skeleton in TP view).
It works well with within it's limitations:
Don't use it in combat, or whilst crouching, jumping - the mod author did not have these animations to work with. It is best used for immersion - walking and running to jobs, walking the streets of Night City - it can also be used to swing the camera around during cut scenes.
Hopefully with the REDmod plug in for animation tools the author maybe able to develop the TP animations to a greater extent - but for now this mod is as close as you will get

The main point of it is that many 1st person games are designed with intentionally distorted models in order to make the experience more immersive from that perspective.
It's still pretty busted and glitchy. Has a long way to go to be usable full-time.
Almost of first-person-only games are like that. Arma series probably is the highest-profile exception where they actually do use a true first person view.
The lack of proper true first person and appropriate animations that they didn't need c/o the lack of third-person support is presumably why we get a crippled photo mode that restricts you to using specific premade poses rather than showing what you're actually doing.
Please try some of the FOV, motion blur, camera/weapon shake tips some users have suggested above.
As a side note, I would really strongly suggest looking at the user-defined tags listed on the storepage before purchasing any game. It helps to gauge what kind of game it is (things like genre, themes and indeed, if a game is in 1st or 3rd person) at a moment’s glance.
