First Braindance (constant crashing)

I don't know what to say, I played this game before a few times never once had a single glitch and now the game is just full of glitches and errors but most of those I can just pretend I didn't see but this one .. I can't even get the first braindance to load ... I can't progress the game because every single time I try loading it the game crashes at the white screen. Does anyone have a solution for me here?

You aren't alone, a lot of PC gamers actually had a better experience with 1.0 than the later patches (with the exception of like 2 missions that could jam up in 1.0) the "patches" have just been unwanted nerfs or re-balances that come with more T-posing, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ physics, FPS drops, and crashes.

Do a clean install of your video card drivers, clean install of the game, set your video card to performance, try disabling intensive post options like RTX or anything light and shadow related.

Thank you for the reply what I can confirm is it doesn't mater what settings I have. I am well speced out for Ultra and even turning it down to low and shutting everything off the game will still crash at the braindance not to mention the same glitch of the lady (ev-va-lin I believe) does the same exact sitting dance infront of me because the animation for her standing up aren't working .. you know what sucks most about how glitchy this game is for me that the intro cinematic after you join jackie that glitched out I was looking at the T-posing avatars walking down the street. I have no idea what the they did with this game but I went from not a single glitch to nothing at all working anymore ... AI's running into my car for no reason or my reloading spawning my car on top of someone ... T-posing everywhere no ones animation works anymore I just don't know what to say at this point the game is unplayable and worse then it was ever before.

I have something to add. After just testing my graphic card making sure there were no issues with the install I did one last thing ... I realized the game was installed to an external and I had this vague memory that certain games hate being on external memory. So after doing a lot of moving stuff around I managed to make space for it on my SSD and suddenly T-pose no more and BD is working. I get this feeling that the external was the cause of all my woes. If anyone else is ... both silly enough to install it on your external or you just didn't have the space needed on your SSD making space seems to be the best way to fix these issues.

Oh yeah this game goes ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if you install it anywhere but a good SSD.

Mine is installed in the SSD and I’m getting constant crashes whenever I try to advance past the first braindance, any fixes for it?

Same. Brain dance loads, right at the end when the screen flashes, it goes grey/white and never goes back. Eventually crashes. I was wondering if it is something like this coming back: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/3084

I am getting the exact same issue. I have almost 400 hours of playtime across different playthroughs especially after 2.0 but this is the first I'm experiencing this specific issue. Can't advanced on this current playthrough.

Same issue. Emailed devs about it with the full report. Think it might be a thing with the new update since the only fix I've found was to try rolling back my install to the version before.

Have the same issue with grey screen at the end of BD. Tried also without mods - didn't help. Does anyone know a solution for this?

Was really excited to get into this game finally. Started getting a groove going and then got to this part and it killed all interest. Refuses to load and then crashes. Checked the drivers and all. Uninstalled and requested refund. Massive bummer.

Apparently the phantom liberty DLC fixed this issue for me, I was able to progress with no other crashes.
