Don't fear the reaper ending (spoilers)
So basically i just want to know the ending before i commit to it, because i'm going to clock the game 100% and likely won't pick it up until the new expansion releases, i was going to go with the Panam ending but now i'm curious about the Don't Fear the Reaper "secret" ending.
I know the credits roll if you die during crystal palace etc and all that idc about that i will just reload.
I would like to do this ending and continue the game as V when the DLC is out or just check some other things around the city when it's finished, not as johnny though, idc if he is still with me but i don't like the idea of him taking V over.

TLDR: I wanna know, in canon, does V die at the end of it or does johnny take over or do they both survive or what? Like you float out to space and then what? I can't seem to find any info on it. Can you continue the game? Are you now johnny? are you both? V still? (Do all endings end the game i haven't finished it yet but i would like to continue playing after the final mission or is that not possible at all?)

Thanks.

All indications are that the expansion will take place before the game's endings, not after. They are going to sneak it into the middle there somewhere, not at the end.

You can continue the game no matter what ending you choose, you will always be returned to the point right before the last mission but with a few rewards for completing the game.
Without going into the spoilers, you can choose what happens to V in the end and again, no matter what you choose, you are able to continue the game as V after and do the last mission as much as you like.

Go for the Devil ending with Hanako if you haven't before.

There is no "canon" ending.

I don't mind spoilers i just want a good head canon ending where V doesn't die or gets taken over essentially, i thought the "secret" ending sounded really cool but it seems like they might die even if you finish it

Ok, as said by Tanoomba, there is no canon ending afaik and no "good" ending for V sadly. Secret ending is only better in the way that nobody dies during the last mission. V will die no matter what you do, not immediately but still.

After you finish the last mission you are reverted back to the point before the last mission so imo it's worth it to try them all and see what you like best.

There is no cannon ending like people have said

The most 'canon' ending for me is to go with Rogue as Johnny and giving the body to V, it just makes sense narrative wise. If you wanna 100% the game, theres a particular mission where you get to find where Johnny is buried. You'll have to choose specific dialogues to unlock the hidden ending (look it up in YouTube).

So every ending is just dying for different people, that's kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ lame lmao

So johnny does his crystal palace ♥♥♥♥ then give the body back to V after? Or is that finishing the game with Rouge?

It will be just likee panam and judy mission line, the DLC will probably have another ending based on it as well with the johnny choices
