It doesn't actually fix anything, but it will at least make me feel as though the cars are running closer to the sense of speed of racing games that I play.
fixed
But it does mean that it's not inherently in need of "fixing", or even necessarily broken. There is no "should" in creative decisions for entertainment media.
And for me (and many others), the game is as immersive as it was touted to be. See, what makes a game immersive can not be anything but subjective, because we play games in different ways and have different experiences and are impressed or disappointed by different things.
It's not a small issue for you. For me, it's not an issue at all. I never got the impression that the cars were too slow, not even a little. Ironically, I actually found the driving to be significantly more realistic than the arcade-style driving found in GTA games. I play with a controller, and I was surprised by how the vehicles have more weight and inertia compared to many games, how I had to slow down well before turns and pay attention to my mass as I would in real life. It absolutely took some getting used to, but it added to my immersion. See, we have different perspectives shaped by different values and preferences and experiences.
Nobody's asking you to. It's fine that the game has aspects you don't like.
I mean why go and google something that would take just seconds to see for yourself by playing. Every speedometer that I have seen in the game is labeled MPH
Not sure I understand nitpicking a video game to death. So far no game I have ever played represents real life very well except a few hardcore flight and racing sims that I own and even then its questionable. And really what is the point? If I am bound and determined to be that unhappy with a video game I just move on to another one or I stop playing all together and go for a hike or something.
Then you don't have any car knowledge if you think they should function like this in 2077. What else are you going to defend all the bugs in the game where you fall from the map into space?
I'd say there are over 20 cars today that can go over 420 km/h , there are even some that reach 540 km/h . You might be right about the limitations although why would NC put limitations on cars when they can't even control 40% of the city because of the mafia.
Not talking about car performance, I mean actual game performance as in framerate, and asset load times.
Even if you found a way to remove the speed cap and you’ll probably wish you hadn’t because of the stutters and framerate/frametime drops.
The game has also got to run on base PS4 and Xbox One remember?
Honestly though still sounds like nitpicking to me but if thats whats really important to you then whatever floats your boat I guess.
Sh.it I misread it somewhere my bad, but Bugatti Chiron can reach a top speed of 500 kmh , not 540
I said even if its in mph its still slow.
