When you finish the main story, you're magically transported back to where you were before you began the final mission.

what about activities after you beat the game?

collect clothing and iconic weapons and stick em in your stash. take em out and try new outfits then go around and take photos. collect shards and try to understand the world better, read the emails on computers, explore the web in the comfort of your home, customize the apartment, buy every car, get every apartment, try to fight the ncpd for as long as you can, get double jump and explore the city mirror's edge style

photo mode is the end-game for me, plus it helps you clear any ncpd stuff you may have missed. just find some cool lookin npc, call your bike over, take out your clothes and you can do a photoshoot all around night city. :cozybethesda:

edit: here's one i took yesterday, nothing special but maybe it'l give you some ideas or inspiration. once in a while when they do the photo contests i go and check out all the submissions, you get to see some absolutely fantastic and creative photos, gives me the inspiration to keep taking more. also this is roach, my fav car.

Pace it out - or save some side quests/activities for after you finish the main quests (you get put back to just before 'the point of no return')... There is alot of content but once its done its done... There is a solid ~80 hours worth of game here but some people expect it to be some live service thing they can just play endlessly - this is not the case... Having said that its a wicked game and i highly recommend it...

Finish the main story then go back and restart with a new character.

I know some people can do that - but personally i find that instantly replaying something i just finished is mind numbing - i need to give a game a good year or two before i replay it in most cases... (or have some good dlc/expansions come out)

Once you have done everything take a break and go play something else until the expansion comes out...

The best thing I can say is do not rush the main story, do everything else first. Make it the very last thing you do.

Wait for expansion. It cant be that far maybe 1.5 year max. CDPR's expansions has been absolutely massive. Blood and Wine was 25+ hour. If you did everything close to 50 hour.

Theres nothing to do.
When you have done all missions then its over.
You gotta wait like everybody on the DLC

Nah, I'd advice the exact opposite in fact, as spending dozens of hours on somewhat meaningless tasks takes away from the urgency of the main story. He should first finish all the main missions along with the side stories that are relevant to the main quest (the Johnny & Kerry sidequests, etc.). Fighting gangs and collecting items should be post-story stuff.

Sadly by the time you do this your character become an unstoppable killing machine.

Its funny because every game before this "game as a service" thing worked exactly like this, we arent' even talking too much time ago.

Going to have to be the bearer of somewhat bad news on this one, but there are one or two bright spots.

After you finish the main story, you're transported back outside of Embers and there are definitely two things you can still do. One is dirt simple: take that access token you got from Smasher and go back to the cargo ship where you got Johnny's gun (and probably car) and get the blueprint for Ba Xing Chong (iconic smart shotgun) for your weapon wall. It's little more than a side trip if you and Rogue did a good job the first time through, but you can't get the blueprint until after the main story is done. It's possible to use glitching to get it beforehand, but to get it legit, you have to do one of the main story endings (other than suicide - that just rolls credits and then you're back at Embers again).

Before the last mission, you probably have all but two of the Tarot Cards. If you did one of the "attack Mikoshi" endings, you're still missing The Devil tarot card. If you sided with Hanako, you're still missing Judgement, so you need to go back and do an ending that you did not do earlier in order to collect the whole deck. There are a lot of players who had that 21st card removed from their deck when they reappeared at Embers, making 22/22 impossible, so my experience could well have just been a glitch (like those never happen in this game). There's no additional reward for getting the full deck, though.

Beyond that, and assuming you already did all the fixer gigs, NCPD scanner hustles, side jobs, romance, and whatnot (the journal stuff), there are basically exploring, occasional shootouts with gang members, and waiting on the expansion(s). Anything which you did not complete and which was not part of the main story will still be there on your map, so you can go do that stuff. Or maybe start up another V and do it all again?

Uninstall and play something else. Its not a sandbox game.

As it seems, TacoVoodoDoctor hasn´t bought the game yet. And you had to spoil him/her ... well done *slow-clap* :steamsad:
