Getting rid of cloud saves
I am playing on my PC as well as my brand new Steam Deck. I have way too many saved games, so I am trying to delete some of the old ones. I have tried deleting on both devices, but eventually the old saves keep popping up, even if I have deleted the same files through both games.

Any suggestions?

Also, does anyone know where to find the saved game files on the Steam Deck?

~/.local/share/Steam/userdata/<USER_ID_OF_YOUR_STEAM_ACCOUNT>/367520/ac/WinAppDataLocalRow/ ---- Might be the location for it Oo?

How can I delete Steam Cloud saves?

Check if you have the game backup features enabled. Press on the Windows key, type

Steam, then open the desktop client. ...

Bring up the Steam Cloud Conflict dialogue. Right-click on your Windows Taskbar, then click

on Task Manager. ...

Delete the stored Cloud files.

Thanks, I will start trying!

You gave me a running start on the save file location, here is where I actually found it:

~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1091500/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Saved Games/CD Projekt Red/Cyberpunk 2077

If you delete them while the game is open and then close the game that should do it.

These instructions didn't work... for starters there is no "remote" folder in the userdata folder for this game.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\SteamID\AppID\remote\"

My steam saves are in ..\Steam\userdata\STEAM_ID\GameNumber\remote

My Cyberpunk 2077 saves are in C:\Users\WindowsUserName\Saved Games\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077 on Gog.

I just noticed my Steam_ID is very low, can I check when I registered? Wait, I hovered over my 18 Years badge and got the date.

open game start "new game" while selecting street kid or whatever
open run and %userprofile%\Saved Games\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077
delete it while running the game only
go back make new alias done

Turn off cross-platform Saves

Could be cross platform games, turn it off then delete all the saves you don't want INGAME.

When the game syncs after you close it down it should delete them from the cloud.

Yesterday I just figured out the problem.
I turned off cloud save in both steam menu and game menu, but i was still forced to do cloud saves. Sometimes the server is down and I i couldn't save the game.

It turns out that you have to log out from the game launcher. That's the key!!!

As far as I'm aware, on a computer, you can disallow specific software from accessing the internet.

That should take care of it until you need an update.
