If you can't put up with the swearing then this is not the game for you.

Remember, it's actually illegal to let someone under the prescribed age to play this game. People don't seem to know this, like letting a 15 year old see an 18 film.

He never said anything about someone being under 18. I know some adults who are annoyed by profanity but can handle blood and gore.

I never said one is good or bad. Think of it more as a sound that bothers you while other may not bother at all. I believe the term is kind of like a pet peeve.

It was more a general kind of observation of how lots of people seem to not even bink at really crass violence but give them a simple "♥♥♥♥" or "damn" (doesn't even have to be the infamous f-word ...) and they're clutching their pearls.

If you're not mature enough to play this game, I don't think you should.

That being said, I played gta3 when I was like 12. You could handle the maturity so long as you understand that it's all fake...and don't let it negatively influence you.

To be fair, OP's question wasn't concerned with "adult themes", but with profanity, and the fact that there do exist radio-friendly versions of songs containing profanity shows that there is an audience for such a feature. Heck, even Conker's Bad Fur Day bleeped out the F-bombs.

I don't need such a feature, and I have no problem with CDPR not offering the option, but I find it odd how many people seem to take issue with the very request.

No, it means that there's adults who can acccept that in a fictional world full of violence, nudity and death, there will be swearing . It's not about pleasing anyone, it's about creating a believable world. Swearing is absolutely natural and people who cannot swear properly due to some kind indoctrination or other, are missing out on an important emotional venting mechanism.
And people who are okay with violence, murder and mutilation but are offended by curse words or nudity are hypocrites, plain and simple.

Hey man, its just a video game, and a non believable one with a very cartoonish "cyberpunk" style, its like a very rude cartoon. I have no problem with nudity but the hypocrisy of society in censoring it over violence, anyway I heard there is non lethal weapons in this game no?, so maybe we could have the choice to go through the game without killing and without the swearing, it is better for developers to give options to consumers, so they can sell more.

A lot of work for minimal returns.

OP's question was perfectly reasonable. A game's rating does not negate the possibility of including options that customize one's experience. After all, CP77 does allow you to censor nudity if you choose.

Having said that: No, CP77 does not have a profanity filter. If that's a deal-breaker for you, OP, then this game isn't for you.

I mean by the first mission (after the combat tutorial) you've already gone well beyond profanity.

Not by generic video game violence either.
