Weird Lighting Bug
So I'm having this really odd lighting bug and I'm wondering if anybody knows if there's a specific setting to fix it.

Basically as I'm running along I'll see these little spots of light off in various soulless corners and dark crevices of buildings and such. And then just as soon as they appear they rather quickly fizzle and pop out. It's not like light fixtures or entities that create light or anything, those work fine.

I guess if I had to describe the effect, it's like old footage from Chernobyl. The way the film would have white spots because of the way the radiation was effecting the film. But these have color to them sometimes. Really weird and kinda grating to see. Hope someone knows how to fix.

Either that or maybe I'm having a stroke. Who knows?

Monitor your GPU temps maybe OP? GFX issues like spots etc. can be caused by overheating. 'Red engine' known to run GPU very hard, and on my RTX 3070 system GPU fans almost always max out, BUT I have aggressive fan curve set in Control Panel, suggest you look into this to avoid possible thermal throttling...

Or perhaps update or revert GPU driver. At any time a driver update may cause issues as much as old driver. Just suggestions for troubleshooting.

PC Specs are as follows:
-NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060Ti
-AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core
-16gig of RAM
-A Terabyte SSD & A Terabyte M.2 Storage (P-sure Cyberpunk is on the M.2 for obvious reasons)

Monitor Specs:
-2560x1440
-144Hz
-LG Ultragear

I hope that helps or is at all pertinent. Thanks.
This is an issue that has been reported by multiple people with different specs. It most likely comes from the game or how the new patch interacts with drivers so I wouldn't expend much energy trying to troubleshoot it. Unless you're seeing it literally everywhere in which case put in a ticket to CDPR.

If I'm not mistaken it's caused by having a lower internal resolution combined with high color precision. You can either adjust or turn off the upscaling, like DLSS, or use low on the color precision setting, assuming it's the same lighting bug. But these have color in them though. If not, then I'm not sure, maybe it's part of the game?

Are you describing the sort of glittery reflections? Look a bit like star points? I get them from time to time (play with raytracing) since 1.5, most easily seen on the back of a reflective car like the Caliburn. Also seen in drinking glasses in some bars. It seems to be a reflection that is being rendered too brightly/brilliantly, or with too much precision so that it reflects like a point source of light -- it goes away once you get out of the angle that reflects the light.

I managed to take a screen shot of it, I think. Basically what I'm seeing. Weirdly enough though, this only started happening AFTER the 1.5 update. :/
NEVER saw this before that, settings haven't changed, so what did they f-u-c-k up this time?

That's what I see from time to time. If it disappears when you look at things from a different angle its the same thing. They reworked a lot of stuff in the graphics with the patch (eg adding raytraced reflections to cars and more intensive raytraced shadows). Most things look better or at least run better. This one just seems to have slipped in.

Seen this too, probably just reflections rendered weird.

As part of troubleshooting render 'spots', it's always good to blow out dust off the GPU and CPU heat sinks, also from inside the PSU. Also make sure you have good overall airflow (good fans, and/or bios fan profiles aggressive), b/c you may be thermal throttling. CDPR games/red engine games known to run GPU hard.

From what you describe, it may be render artifacts, but hard to say. Sys specs are up to snuff for a good experience. Oh, turn off nvidia hariworks if you haven't already and try that.

if you want to see more of this go to ward nephew house at nights and right when you enter look at left down you see at last ten rainbow dots on screen or use amd card at its limits .
-------------
if you see this rainbow dots like everywhere on your screen thats called gpu artifacting .

gpu artifacting is a problem when you have corrupted gpu memory or when your gpu is overheating .

(if you want more detailed stuff search gpu artifacting on youtube )
