I wish they just said they want you to play Male V.
I WILL be talking about the ending and spoilers so click off NOW if you do not want to be spoiled.
First of all.. Kerry is bi in canon tabletop, but for some reason he got pidgeonholed as gay, to that i say why'??? The romance options just seem so... aggressively male V centered. Even in the end, as female V if you go with panam and you romanced river, river dumps ur ass to go back to night city. Panam is straight also so it's like hmm was this option really only written for Male V? Not to mention I don't even think Kerry Or River show up well in endings unlike panam and judy. My biggest BIGGEST gripe with this game is how they're not transparent about wanting you to play male v. Aside from the actual ending cutscenes, all seven of them are mediocre but that's not quite my problem. My problem is, the romances for female V, are hookups at best. You don't even organically run into any of them aside from the lesbian options. It's really REALLY frustrating and yes you can say im making a mountain out of a molehill because the game is supposed to be dark and depressing but why can male v have a happily ever after with panam but female v cant be with the male romances in that way.

TL;DR Female V has like zero happily ever after romance options and it doesn't make sense.

Yeah this is a dystopian future, though straight female V does get the worst of it. there are no happy endings except temperance. The least unhappy ending for V is Star/Judy.

I agree with you for the most part. My first playthrough of the game was as a female V and a lot felt very male-centric in the game, especially the romances. It is kind of a bummer that you get a whole "drive off into the sunset" moment with Panam but with River your relationship prettymuch "ends" when it begins. Hell, his sister, niece, and nephew stand around their house without any further actions once you finish his story. And you can't even seem to work out a decent friendship with Kerry.

Judy
Star Ending

I just finished my playthrough, and picked the Star ending again, with femV and Judy.

Very heartwarming :-}

I'm actually having a hard time unlocking the other achievements for the other endings, because I have done a romance in each playthrough, and I kinda don't want V to be alone, or friend-zone everyone.

I just think femV kinda gets the short end of the stick when it comes to the romance options if one is playing V as straight-V. You get River, who you can't even look in the eyes. You can only just look at his...eye. It doesn't help that he has an implant where the other one should be...because it's very...scary looking, lol

They should add more characters you can meet in later-game content DLC who can also be romanced. Or sort of somehow retroactively introduce lesser known characters into the main story, who can be romanced, in a DLC, imho

the only ones that are willing to leave are the ones that want to leave for their own reasons and not yours. So obviously that leaves only 2 possible options. Panam and Judy. Panam for Hetero and Judy for Les. I think one for each is more than fair. At least that is my opinion.

Solid answer, I agree

I really wished they had a FemV and Takemura option.

Rivers just didn't make sense. He felt like an afterthought, thrown in just to have a hetero option.

That would justify one ending a lot more.

I'm also going to put this out there, Carol from the Aldecaldos would have been a perfect lesbian romance option. That way, you could still have the Star with a romantic partner.

I did a run as a straight female V and the romance with River was...okay, but geez, Panam's temper and personality are awfully hard to put up with on a second or subsequent playthrough if you know you can't romance her and you still have to spend half an hour watching her wiggle her butt.

Yeah, Suze of the Mox, McAdams who you rescue and Carol are all obvious candidates. Even Cassidy or Iris Tanner. There is a lot of scope with existing NPCs to expand the romance options.

Having played both, Female V is absolutely the canon option. The VA is so much better its ridiculous

Given the astounding amount of money spent on this game it;s hard to see why not. Even Nexus mods for Skyrim have 5 times the voiced dialogue of anyone in CP 2077.

And the cost of VA and writers is nothing compared to the hardware side of the game.

Regarding River: I'm talking about Dev/programmer oversight. I have gone over to River's sister's home after helping him find his other nephew, and found the NPCs doing absolutely nothing. The children were t-posed in the bedroom; the mother was leaning against nothing in the backyard, just standing in the air as if she was leaning against something. At the very least they could have programmed in some sort of post-mission activity.

As for Kerry, you help him at a time when he is genuinely at a low point in his life. He pretends the suicide thing was just a stunt but when he gives you his gun after the gig, it is very heavily implied that he was definitely going to use it on himself. If that doesn't warrant at least being able to call him and ask him questions like you can the fixers, then I don't know what does.

I'm not asking for some happy ending. I'm just asking for a little post-mission activity to make things seem a bit more realistic.

I love Takemura's character, and was really hoping he'd be a romantic option during gameplay. Sad that he wasn't but we are friends 'til the bitter end as far as I'm concerned.

River definitely feels like an afterthought. The way his whole storyline really just "ends" with his family never so much as having a daily routine outside the house is such a missed opportunity. I took a picture of the kids t-posing/clipping through their beds to show friends because it was so jarring to see them suddenly lose any sense of life after the other endearing moments you have with them.

Well this is what happens, when people force developers to include multiple genders when it was never written for that in the first place... people decided their feelings are more important than a developer's own choices and attack the developer at every turn in the development cycle.

The fem endings push a lot of good cry buttons, so I think they are well-designed and make some sense.

What are you on about?
Fem V can romance Judy, leave with Panam and the Aldecaldos, and Judy will come along. That's like the best end game situation out of all of them.

Bruh Male V only gets to Romance angry obnoxious and weird looking Panam or they are foreveralone. Like they got no choices unless you use the mod to make Judy romanceable.
