Well it may be a "no biggie" for you, but it may matter to some folks, if your iconic weapon, like the Override which youll only get once in the game, cant be lvld up anymore. This can happen anytime in the game. Worst case scenario which also happened to me, is when they disappear early in the game so youve to pass on this specific weapon the entire game.
edit:
I pretty much doubt this. Ive decided to reload my save file and it shows up again and Im even able to lvl up further.
And why would it disapear before lvl 50 ? Wasnt even maxed out to begin with.
This happened one other time when the guns were never deconstructed, and then it happened to the attachments for one of my guns. Also, I kept getting a HUD of a gun that I didn't actually use, in the lower right (where it shows the icon for the gun--it was a different gun than the one I was actually wielding).
I assume the bugs are related and the game is not reading the save data correctly.
Yup. Thats the whole point about this issue.
It makes the whole crafting system and the Tech-build worthless.
edit:
Well, depends on your playstyle. There are more than enough perks to reduce required components for crafting/get more components for dismantling items. Even on the hardest difficulty, youll get more than enough components to upgrade the hell out of your weapons.
The only downside is your always overpowered. Thats why I use difficulty scaling mods which will keep the NPCs on the same level like your char.
Not ever seen this myself, at least not until maxing out the level on an item. Funky stuff.
Since Ive found threads which are at least a year old with the exact same issue, I was under the impression, that people might have already reported this to CDProject.
Ah ok. Interesting - seeing a lot of old bugs reported again recently for some reason. I know 1.3 broke some old fixes, wonder if it's broken a lot more as they did the rework. If you've time, might be an idea to report it - if nothing else then you'll get a message back saying they're aware of it and you'll know a fix is in the works.
Beg to differ. I took my Lizzie pistol with me for the grand finale, upgraded her to max level, popped a couple crunch mods into her and boy, was it worth it.
