It should win the worst game of the year ..
literally every game on the list fit's that description...so of all the unfinished and unpolished games, Cyberpunk is the closest thing to being finished and polished.
Valheim is missing like 3 biomes still and doesn't even have it's story implemented yet.
New World is STILL having massive exploits being exposed every week and is missing features and mechanics the developers have had to put on hold to work out fixing the wrecked economy.
Resident Evil Village again, super buggy console port where hackers got the cracked version working better 6 months ago than the release version currently does....Capcom was just hoping PC gamers all fit the "neckbeard" stereotype and would overlook that cause "impossibly big tiddy giant goth girlfriend". And that's not even digging into the MUCH worse offenses Capcom has committed when it comes to anti-consumer practices, which makes the overhyping CDPR did for Cyberpunk look quaint.
Don't even need to say much about Forza, given their own history of horrible monetization and their "known issues" page is the size of an encyclopedia.
Seriously of all the Steam GOTY choices, and holding each game to the standards those who don't want Cyberpunk to win GOTY...it's objectively the best choice on the list. If we hold one game to a standard, we have to hold them all to it.
If all nominations are buggy half finished mess ups that speaks volumes about the state of the industry.
Vote smart, i.e. don't vote at all.
Like you said yourself, most people have already made up their minds on this game. You’re gonna have an equally hard time convincing a fan to vote against this game as convincing a critic to vote for this game.
The only group that are susceptible to being convinced one way or another are the ones on the fence about this game - people who neither quite like it or dislike it. And even if they stumble across this thread, there’s no guarantee that they’ll vote for or against this game because of this particular post.
Let the awards play out naturally. This is first and foremost a video game award, not a national election where the future of one’s entire country hangs upon. This is a first world problem in every sense of the term.
As one grounded user in this thread said: You don’t gain or lose anything by voting for or against this game.
The only thing that’s on the line here is one’s ego and pride, if at that.

That supposed to be a snarky comment or something? If so, the punchline didn’t land… at all.
Pride isn’t something you want to have. There’s a reason why it is among the seven deadly sins[en.m.wikipedia.org].
Look it up if you’re curious.
Lmfao imagine being the type of person that asks people not to vote for something they like and actually thinking you will change their mind LMFAO.
Just dont know the emoji you used fit which side better
