My concern with the writing was that there wasn't enough of it. There would be sentences/dialogue choices that didn't quite flow together, like a scene was missing. Or, things would be said slightly out of order, like it couldn't track what the player already knew.
But the cheese, the flair? Personally, I loved it
Also doesn't help that it's not a free to play game with paid cosmetics right? ;)
IRL we speak calmly and often complement others. 90% of society lives in a friendly trusting loving way.
Cyberpunk is a dark time, lots of crime, little regard for life. People look for pleasure, not substantial relationships mostly.
I find the voice acting really does reflect this. The female V actress is amazing. You can hear fear, doubt, and strength depending on the situation.
Personally I find her voice acting the most dynamic and complicated in any game I've played so far.
I think what OP is really trying to say is the girls don't always sound hot.
V sure doesn't but that's a very good thing in this game.
Cheers all.
No I think he trying to say is that the writing is terrible
Wanna see some REALLY terrible writing? Go buy the Twilight books. THAT's terrible writing.
Agreed. I still feel like a major way to overcome this hurdle would have been to have the "Point of No Return" be right after certain decisions had been made, giving the player an opportunity to continue playing without the Relic as well as getting to play in a world that better reflected choices that were made:
Either in the penthouse apartment, in Johnny's apartment, out with the Aldecados, etc. Then, the final mission would be the actual end result, either Crystal Palace, leaving Night City, etc, giving us a choice when we want to end the game.
Lord I hate Silverhand. Mostly because he pulls you from enjoying the game.
I will pay for a 'No Silverhand' mod!
Personally I would've like to see where your stats start to go down, or you lose focus now and then as Silverhand pushes towards consciousness. At this point the player can take a drug to push him far back at the cost of a few skill points, or he could let Johnny talk.
I'd never let him out, EVER!!! lol. I also wish I could beat on him bad, like he did to V. If I had to see Johnny, I'd beat the tar out him every time. Outside of that, we're good lol.
cheers all.
In their defense, I assume from the perspective of someone who completely forgoes the use of punctuation and seems to have the eloquence and grammatical skills of a below average middle-school pupil, the writing might actually seem odd ... or as OP would probably phrase it: "maaan ♥♥♥♥ like the voice lines so bad lol".
It might also just be a matter of taste in the end, but even if I didn't like it, I wouldn't say the writing is bad per se - it's just not everyone's cup of tea.
