Devs not wanting synthwave in Cyberpunk is the biggest mistake ever

Prime Thanatos was helping promoting game like fk long before release. Many people including myself saw synthwave as a strong link to Cyberpunk and its environment, everyone wanted this music to be in the game.

But devs said no. Instead some russian radio stations.

This is thank you to all those people who helped developed genre.

Hope they make it a bit easier for people to add their own music to the game as radio stations. I've never felt the game was lacking for not being drowned in cliche personally but others having the option which works for them is always a good thing. Ambient soundtrack is really nicely done with its little nods to different genres.

I, for one, would LOVE to have an option to be able to control a radio station myself. Pirate Radio if I got the option to name it :)

Honestly, how hard would it be to purposely leave a line of code that looks at something easily changed, like an .ini file, so you can just link it to youtube or some other online link. Even music on your local drive shouldn't be out of the question, but I can see that being slightly more difficult to implement.

True but Mike Pondsmith didn't envision HIS setting to be super synthwave. It's 80s inspired electro pop, techno, and hard anti corporate rock in this setting.

NGL though, game could use WAY more punk music.
