disable HUD icons

I'd like to disable the little white symbols in my character's regular game view, like the little white gun(gun dealer) or the little white food symbol. The options I tried in the menu did not remove them Is there a way to do this? Thanks

It's wonky. If you have your map set to Services view (second from the right, I think), then they're going to show up on your map and there isn't much you can do about it. If you scroll all the way over to the right where you can filter what's displayed, then you can turn those on/off with little problem. AFAIK, you cannot turn them off on the minimap (mostly because they're nearby and that seems to be a hard-coded feature) and the little icons on the merchants themselves are also permanently on (again because of proximity - they disappear once you move sufficiently far away from them). There might be a mod out there that addresses this and makes them all toggle-able, but I don't know of one off the top of my head. Probably not what you were wanting to hear, but hopefully someone much more informed about the mods which are out there can help out.

Seems like marstinson said. You can filter them from the map menu, and they will not appear on the map menu - but they still show up on the main gameplay HUD

nope! it filters them on the map only! i am seeing white gun and food ivons in the in game view with distances. i fid mot see them last night!
