afaik you can't. You just wait until it rains.

Think this is only possible with CET...

Just sleep often or use the "Wait" in the menu.

Go to this location. That will force the weather to switch to rain.

Wait in the menu? Where?

I found in my last couple playthroughs that scripted weather is absolutely huge in this game. Many times I'll head into a side quest or a main story quest and it's a perfectly sunny day and then suddenly it's pouring rain, yet there was no indication at all on the way to the quest that a huge rain system was on the way.

Then when you finish the side story or main quest, sometimes the rain will keep on for an hour or two of in-game time, but eventually it disappears and then it's back to same old boring sunny, until the next scripted weather quest because of doing another story/side.

For 1.5, as a test in my third playthrough, I have been prioritizing NCPD assaults over gigs, side quests, and main story, to see if the weather ever changes on its own and all I've gotten so far is two sand storms with wind, one at the beginning of my playthrough and the second sandstorm several dozen hours later. 90% of the time, I have sunny weather. Like next to no rainstorms or other weather effects UNLESS I initiate a side quest or main story. Sometimes fog or smog, but even that is rare.

I do wish weather effects were scheduled, as in we launch the game, and we immediately get a screen telling us what the weather outlook is for that week in Night City, and we can plan our visits accordingly. On that note, it kinda sucks there are no thunderstorms, no lightning, no tornadoes/dust devils in the badlands, or other severe weather, as that would further add to the immersion of this game.

Right now there doesn't seem to be enough weather effects for just walking around exploration, but there definitely is if you stick to sides/gigs/main story.

Some stories have scripted rain. A lot of Judy's quests have rain. So, just play the quests and youll see weather.

Thanks but if theres any chance to see raining apart from the quests?

Bladerunner Style is what you want. i just got it myself.

I appreciate your effort, mate but i do not tend to use mods. I am curious if the patch 1.5 was not fully installed causing lack of rain.

yea but to see weather change, you have to cross into a different zone. NIght City is split into different weather zones. So for example, Pacifica and Watson will have different weather sometimes. Night City and Badlands will also have seperate weather. You have to transition between zones for weather to change. You could also wait for a weather mod, we used to have one where you could change the weather to anything you wanted.

Different zone is a good idea to check out.

It does rain or sandstorm sometimes randomly, but I wish there was a weather machine or something, even if it just increased the chance of certain weathers. I love rain and wouldn’t mind it raining all the time at all, lol. Rain makes me happy, and that’s hard to do.
Okay guys, i got the scripted rain as soon as i completed Disasterpiece quest of Judy.
