Throwing katana?
I saw someone on here say 1.5 added the ability to throw a katana, but I don't see any way to actually do that. Is this real or not?
(I already have the knife throwing perk)

You can only throw small weapons, knife size, not katanas.
Maybe it's a mod or he was thinking about throwing a tanto.

You cannot throw Kukri, just to let you know, they look like you should be able to but you cannot.

Yeah butcher's cleaver, kukri and machete are in the "long blade" category.
The knife category only has kinfe, stinger and tanto.

Wait - you can throw tantos now? *goes to get herself a tanto*

I was deeply saddened I couldn't throw Chef Knives lol. RIP dreams of being a Gordon Ramsay Ninja.

I found a vendor at Animals boxing club selling legendary Knife and Tanto blueprints (40k) and for some reason it's impossible to find info on what is throwable anywhere on google but I'll take Black Cat as confirmation and went with the Tanto~ can't craft them yet though.

You can throw any small knife. Just one point in Cool and one in the perk for throwing. You cannot throw A kukri, much to my regret.

They should allow you to throw swords. I do it regularly irl...

I know it can be done etc, but still..."here let me take this weapon, that my life might depend on and just give up control over it completly"...It just feels wrong somehow... :P

Yes, but throwing a weapon is sometimes a better option than closing in (which will put you in reach of their hand weapon and can be particularly dangerous if they have a longer hand-to-hand weapon). Throwing your sword could also be quicker option than trying to close into an opponent who is armed with a ranged weapon.

Assuming you don't have effective protection against the firearm in question, charging down someone down who is armed with a firearm from more than 3 metres away is a bad idea (assuming they have their firearm ready and out of the holster. If they don't then there's a good chance you can charge them down from 7 to 10 metres away. I have training experience with this, so kinda sure can be done XDDD. 7, if they realise they're under attack and they start to move backwards in a hurry).

A sword thrown like a javelin (which is in free flight) will also generally move faster than one in hand, giving it slightly more power (straight swords are better for this, but I think katanas are ok, too). Of course, just make sure that there is an escape route or another backup weapon in case it does fail... and that there is only one baddie. And that you know that the sword is effective against their protection.

I wouldn’t mind a throwing system like Assassins Creed 2 where you could throw any weapon, and throwing a 2h sword or axe was a hell of a way to start a fight 🤣
It was always one of my favorite things to do in that game.

Come on at least tell the truth, you just want to go arround throwing Sir John Phallustiff.

Pardon? Is that a weapon or something?

Judging by the name it sounds like it might be based off Saints row.

I genuinely don’t know though.

If that is the case it would be a bit humorous though, lol.

I have no issue with it. But than I have a lot of points in Body and Street brawling. I will just punch the heck out of them.

i was slightly disappointed when i realized that throwing the tanto still uses the base knife model when the tanto is midair/embedded in your target. literally unplayable /s Otherwise throwing knives are a ton of fun. would love to be able to skewer enemies from a distance with a katana tho
