"Launching games in a somewhat unfinished state has essentially become standard [...]"
"Cyberpunk 2077's latest patch means it's finally in a shippable state... 15 months after release" - The costs of buggy game launches are mounting[www.gamesindustry.biz]

I pre-ordered this game 2020 - not 2022.

Why did you pre-order the game, thereby contributing to the problem? Companies are acting on market forces; if people didn't preorder and whatnot, they wouldn't HAVE preorders as a thing in the first place.

LOL

I made an order, not a problem.

You ordered something that was literally unfinished (that's what a pre-order is, you're buying something before it's finished) and whose state upon release you had no way of knowing.

It was also in that (unfinished) state after it was released.

Even assuming that's true, it's beside the point. You purposefully bought something that was unfinished. People who bought at release didn't know it was unfinished. There's a big difference.

That's the point. "You" can expect a finished product at it's release.

And my point is that you contributed to the problem by purposefully paying for something you KNEW to be unfinished.

I did not order an Early Access Release.

No, you just paid for a pre-order of a game that was still in development.

With a release date.

But unfinished just the same.

This is very simple. Don't pre-order, don't pay for "early access", don't buy "deluxe editions" (i.e.: editions with content that should've been in the base game, but was cut out), don't buy "day one DLC" (now being rebranded as "deluxe edition"), don't buy microtransactions. Publishers will get the hint, if enough people do that.

People preordered a game...then threatened to cancel preorder if the game was delayed....game was released unfinished.

People who preordered gave CDPR a financial incentive to release an unfinished product instead of taking the time to finish it.

Stop preordering games then complaining about the problem you helped contribute to. As long as people make it financially more profitable to rush out an unfinished game, business will do so, as the entire reason they exist is to make a profit.

I'm not "contributing" to a problem which is completely out of my reach. I did not buy an unfinished product. I ordered a product - finished -, to his release.

No, you paid for a product that was explicitly NOT finished.
