Performance using a 3080 with raytracing in 4k?
Just wondering cuz back before when I was playing it was nearly impossible to get anything higher than like 30 fps I own the game on GOG.

If you crank everything up to max, it won't really be higher FPS on 4K, now.
Unless you turn on DLSS (which with 2.3.7 is something I might actually consider, but you have to manually replace the shipped 2.3.4 version.)

Well in the reveal they were using a 3090 in 2K performance mode and only managing about 70 FPS, so make of that what you will.

2K isn't a thing unless you're doing niche cinema in a terrible aspect ratio.

Thanks everyone

The DLSS now is very noticeably better than it was before, to such an extent that I'm now using it at just a smidge above 1080p on quality. Previously at that res it was so soft as to be horrible, and I'm not a sharpness freak.

The only issue is with V's reflection in mirrors which is just too soft but apparently there's a way to change that by making a config file which I need to look up.

I have 2070s 50-60 fps (Vsync is on) on 1080p with everything on ultra. RT is enabled on maximum settings, dlss is on automatic level.

I think the 4000 series will do this game justice--it is a demanding game. It's going to have double the CUDA cores, so I would imagine, almost double the fps, so 4k you'll be able to run it at 100fps with a beefy cpu. We're just not there yet.

I find it to be fun. I think back on all the games I played that I enjoyed that didn't even reach 30 fps (older console games, I'm looking at them), and if I turn off the fps counter and I'm getting 50fps, I don't notice. Not with a high refresh monitor.

On a 4k display that...probably won't have a super high refresh rate...I'd wait for 4000 series cards.

70-90 fps average with dips in the 50's outside apartment.
High Settings, DLSS Quality, RTX Off.
3080 ti 9900k 32GB 1440p.
Game seems not not even fully utilize my hardware...

this update ruined the game

The 9900k is a really good CPU and works perfectly in all my other games, but I guess you are right, this game is much more CPU dependent.
Strange since the store page recommends Intel 4790, 12GB ram and GTX 1060, far below my specs.

I can just about keep 60 at 4K maxish settings including RT with DLSS on Ultra Performance with a 5800X and 3080.

It doesn't look very 4K though, plenty of artifacing on certain surfaces. Instead I prefer to play with RT off, SSR is pretty decent in this game and it's much easier to stay above 60 even with DLSS on balanced.

RT Shadows are fixed as are now enabled all times of day, but more demanding with some internal changes to how they work/get applied.

4K itself is very demanding, even using DLSS-P then resampling up to 4K again.
RTX is absolutely a FPS killer, most know that, don't always expect close to 60FPS+++ with RTX enabled, even with DLSS-P.

RTX4000-5000 Required to Max Cyberpunk2077 (Psycho RTX preset) due to RTX loads.

Wait, you couldn't get more than 30fps with a 3080?? I have a 3070 and I get a consistent 60fps before and after 1.5 with everything set to max settings... You might need to check your GPU isn't faulty.

In 2140p/4K with max ray tracing?
