What HUD elements do you turn off?
Just started playing and it seems like theres a ton on my screen. Damage numbers and so much info is a bit much. Which elements are not necessary and can lower screen clutter?

I'm using Limited HUD mod which turns off most or all HUD elements based on context. Like, you only see your health when you're at least a little injured, you only see weapon hints when a weapon is drawn, map when driving (or holding down right mouse button), etc.
It's the most immersive to me, but may be a bit tough if you don't know frequently used buttons by heart, yet.

I tried to remove the map as much as possible during the game. Otherwise it felt to me like it would prevent me from getting lost in the city. And I wanted to get lost in the city. Also, it felt like too much handholding during the missions.

Well, currently I'm doing a Very Hard, no HUD, perma-death playthrough. So yes, all HUD elements off in my case. Depends how hardcore / immersive you want it to be.

But if you wanna keep something on, I suggest you keep the Job Tracker... It's all you need, really. And maybe damage numbers, because it helps to know if you are doing critical / status effect damage, etc.. and that your build is progressing in terms of strength.

P.S. - This is my 5th attempt at a Very Hard, no HUD, perma-death playthrough. I lasted 200 hours in my run... then had to restart due to dying to an explosive mine. I think it's super fun if you're a role-play masochist haha!

I kept only healthbar and radar, removed everything else using mods.

This is a great mod
https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/2592
When you've installed it you go to Coyberpunk 2077/r6/scripts/LHUD and open the config file and you can change which parts of UI are on and off depending on various things.
I have it very minimal as:

Normal walking around:
Everything off.

Zoom:
Quest Tracker (the objective description on-hud), this is the only way it is active for me and main function of zoom for me, so I don't have to look at it anywhere else.

In Vehicle:
Minimap

Equip weapon:
Healthbar
Combat markers
Weapon roster

Combat/Stealth:
Healthbar
Combat markers
Weapon roster
Minimap

Scan:
Minimap
Loot Markers
World Markers

On first play-through you would want loot markers to just be active all the time, as you don't want to be constantly turn scan on/off to see loot, but it's the main thing which clutters HUD. I don't need to see Loot markers as I just play the game as main story run-throughs now with all the loot I want from the start of story, and it's immersive only seeing loot when scanner is on.

LHUD is one of the basic must-have mods IMO along with also Level Scaling https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/1712
