Anyway, the cybercat save editor (on Nexus) has an option to remove all item tags. Then you can break them down or stash them (like you should have been able to to begin with). Just a one click solution, and doesn't cause any problems. It's stupid for the items to be non-removable in the first place, it's not like they're required to complete a quest. River's gun is the same way. I'm really anal about my inventory. The save editor rescued me from an OCD breakdown :)
And thanks for the save editor info. I'll have to try that. It bugs me too having things in my inventory that I don't need there.
