Unlocking cars

How do you unlock cars? I have a bit of money i'd like to put on a ride but there's nothing worth buying right now.

Just keep progressing through the main story and side quests(?).

"Some new cars and motorcycles will naturally come as you complete the game's content. For instance, completing the "Life During Wartime" main quest in the main story will unlock V one of their first motorcycles."

My guess is that if, say, you want the Kusanagi or Mai Mai then you should be doing stuff for Wakako.

In earlier builds, you would get offers about cars from sale from fixers almost immediately after hearing from them the first time. Now you have to do a few missions for any given fixer before they'll text you with car offers.

This is just weird, I unlocked a 129k car and i only have a total of 6 open cars over 2 regions. San diego and heywood (spelling) are just to high for me to work there.

Would it be level based? That or street credit?

I think you need to progress the main story. Most areas should become available once you finish 'The Heist'. Some vehicles are unlocked via street cred, which you'll naturally gain from side quests and mini missions like assault in progress. Others are unlocked simply by entering certain areas.
