Ugly Clothes, Style and People
My second play through after playing at launch. The clothing and hair styles in this game are hideous. As are most of the people in the game. It's like they went out of their way to make everything look as awful as they possibly could.

I noticed the first time I played as well but the new game feel offset it for me. This time it's glaring and a bit jarring.

Welcome to the future. Given how things look nowadays i would not be surprised if they nailed how they'll look in 2077

So, a future populated by super models all wearing designer clothing?

I have seen bums who dress better than your average person in Cyberpunk 2077.

Well, yes. I've seen bums who dress better than our current designer dressed models. Have you seen a fashion show lately? Some of those make Cyberpunk's chromed out dolls look like Disney princesses.

Ever watch Back to the Future 2? Apparently future fashion being garish and tacky is a trope.

Yeah, Tanoomba's right. And the time period is right too. It's very '1970s/80s imagines the future'. Big hair but few perms, nods to punk, trenchcoats and boots, translucent raincoats, lingerie as outerwear, neo-militaristic styles etc. It's very source material and deliberate. I'm not a particular fan of it either, purely because it would be nice to get rid of the cliche and do something more interesting, but it is what they're building their world around and upon.

lets be realistic...once you get generic augmentations, cybernetic, and street parts you don't buy designer cloths when your low quality surgery will just rip them. That is why everyone you see don't match. Just those Corpos that have high Tier status have the best ♥♥♥♥.

Just like what you guys posted about Back to the Future....when watching that they didn't match at all...Bladerunner too everyone looked like homeless people.

The flashback scenes had an amazing aesthetic. Radical 80's styling with a crude insertion of futuristic elements, probably the most pure cyberpunk styling I've seen in media.

CP2077 takes place after those flashbacks where the world and culture is even more far gone, leading to a trashy style of mock affluence through vapid eclecticism. A post-cyberpunk-punk, I guess.

That said, the models and animations are absolute guddamn garbage for a 2020 release
