Should I craft Legendary Quickhacks?
Just finished the quest, "The Pickup", and I hit level 15 and that allowed me to reach Intelligence 20 and I have 6 perk points. Should I go ahead and try to craft Legendaries? Or should I wait to try my luck at access points? According to the stat screen, I can pay close to 10k to reset perks?

Legendary quickhacks are possibly no longer quite such an OP must-have that even legendary ping has been, but I still think they're a godsend if you're playing a hacker build. So, I personally never had the patience to wait for them.

also you can sell them and craft more with the components you get from access points

Legendary reboot optics and reset are worth it, as is short circuit. Contagion still works well but is one of the hacks that will always reveal you if you have it in your deck.

Not being able to hack through walls means that you can get by with just rest as it's possible to get it's cooldown to 7 seconds with the right perks and breach protocol.

I'm planning to run up Cool as well. Use Critical Error with all the bonuses to crit chance from the Cool stat.

If you have enough crafting materials you should craft them. Don't forget that you either have to buy them or get them from access points. Legendary Ping is still worth using. You can't hack enemies through walls anymore but you can hack cameras and turrets. So instead of going inside a building and getting spotted by a camera you use Ping on an enemie or device outside and then hack the cameras through the walls. They main reason to use legendary quickhacks are the passive effects while you have that quickhack in your deck. That is why the legendary Short Circuit quickhack is so powerful.

On the first play through i avoided reading guides. So i crafted legenday quickhacks. Yet in the end i discovered many duplicates of those same legendaries. They had to come from access points.

On this play through, as soon as i developed Int 10, i went directly after level 10 access points. I found 4 legendaries within a few hours. My plan is to simply find them all from access points, and not waste the points for level 20 Int, or Bartmoss. Those points can be better used elsewhere.

BTW.

I am currently trying to farm a gig site with 5 lvl 9 access points. Thus far i am only finding new epic quick hacks. Useful, but not what i want. I have done the breach there so many times, my eyes start to water. In a site with lvl 10 access points, i get them every few minutes.

Clearly, I don't know the odds here.

Can anyone point to someone who has worked out the difference between lvl 9 access points and lvl 10 ? Or the odds of a level 10 access point and anything lower.

ive always been a fan of legendary quickhacks. if you hack a lot id say its worth it. if not then it might not be. i think they nerfed legendary quickhacks since launch. contagion used to be op as hell even without any perks to further buff its dps or spread.

FWIW:

After collecting about 150 quickhacks from access points most are epic, rare, or below. But 6 have been legendary. I rerolled the level 9 and level 10 points until i got a new legendary or til i ran out of patience.

Soo ... the chance to get a legendary quickhack from an access point is about one in 25.
