Happy together quest

Hello everybody, someone else have bug with this quest? I just started it in beginning of game, and after trying to complete it after ~40 hours of gameplay there are nothing to do. I only have "try to talk with Barry after few hours" task, no cops near heas apartments, and door is locked by police ribbons.

if i remember correctly if you don't do the quest fast enough barry commits suicide so the police tape is there because he is dead because you could not convince him to live.

Oh, yeah ... if the door has the ribbons, Barry has committed suicide.
Normally, if you return early enough and bump into the police in front of his door, talk to them and the quest fails.

so theres an option for a happier end ?

i managed to talk to him once

i was like 40hours into the game when i went to berry first time
waited a bit after first encounter but when i got there he was ded already

I agree that I was late with the help, but in this case I want the quest to at least fail

do you feel bad that because you did not help barry he died?

You can even see his colleagues cry in front of the door.

There is a happier end! After you wait a few hours and then talk with him, you're given two choices - talk to the cops or do an optional thing. Don't talk to the cops yet! You'll still get the sad ending. Do the optional thing

I didn't know he would die - I guess I was a 'good' neighbor both play thru's.

Of course. I always prefer being "good guy" in games, even in The Witcher, CP2077, etc.
