Patches still take forever to download

For some reason the patches and even the initial install of CP takes 3 or 4 times longer than other games I have here on Steam. Is there a reason for this?

Its because its doing more than just downloading the files, The patch changes around files from the entire install so its doing a things on your hard drive that slow the whole process down.

Perhaps, it just seems that from the very beginning CP downloads tend to take forever. Not that it's a huge deal. #first world problems...lol

It is annoying though. Slowest patching system I've ever encountered (at least in my extant memory). Yes, it's on an SSD so that is not the problem.

But it worked, and I went from 52 to 78 fps on a bike at night in Downtown so it definitely improved performance for me.

I haven't tried it out yet. I've never had major issues...just some annoying FPS drops and various bugs/glitches, like not being able to pick up certain items off the floor.

it applies the update as it downloads, it's not the download the takes a long time, but the packing and unpacking.

Perhaps, but I have never had this issue with other big game releases: COD, GTA just to name a couple...again, no big deal, I was just wondering.

Didn't take that long for me. Maybe you need a faster internet connection.

The patch download is faster than downloading Payday 2 in all honesty. Payday 2 is one the few games that downloads really strangely.

Yup. Besides, it can get downloaded on EPIC, GOG and Steam. Anywhere else.

we don't even know if it reached 20m copies sold and even if it did you wouldn't have all 20m downloading at the same time cause timezones, half the world is asleep right now.

and as you said there's xbox, playstation, gog, epic, etc.

no one mentioned dial-up, I'm 44 years old...so, yea. I was comparing the CP downloads to other CURRENT games that I download...you people can take anything and make it an argument. I already said that it's NO BIG DEAL.
