I know this is super unhelpful advice now, especially if frustrated, but I used to do a quick save at the beginning and right before the end of every single quest (heck, even a few quicksaves in between). Only once I confirmed the quest was completed, cleared, and not bugged did I continue on (usually biding that time doing a side gig or two).
It was the Delemain's gig that caused me to save like crazy, because of the bugged interface if you rush the Badlands vehicle.
If you're like me and you absolutely hate when you have bugged quests to look at, I believe that the save editor in Nexus lets you check those quests manually. I am not completely certain, however. I'm not mod-savvy and only used it to upload the E3 V character.
I currently have 1081 manual saves and steam says I have 589 hours in this game. So that's almost a save every half hour.
Given my experiences with other role playing games (where I have often had to roll back a bad decision after discovering the consequences), I think I would recommend something like this for pretty much any computer RPG.
E3 V looks great and with the E3 2018 lighting mod, E3LMR, E3 clothes and some retextures, the game looks so much better!
Maybe we get the whole city from the E3 some day.^^
This is actually one of the genuinely puzzling things about their choices. I can't think of any other game where the character they advertise the most isn't in the actual game? (No, the preset they claim "looks like him" doesn't count!!) I usually play as the default (such as default Commander Shep, as an example) and was looking forward to playing the character seen in the footage!
