Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077

Ez a téma zárolásra került
60% (300 people) of Cyberpunk's dev team are still working on the game.
For context, the Witcher 3 had a team size of 150-250 people. So everyone can stop saying "dead game, no patches".

They still have more people working on the game post launch than it took to release the Witcher 3.

It is getting kinda obvious who's the one with mental stress here. Maybe you should take a break?

Strange, CDPR hasn't shared any numbers on the sales regard Q1 2021.

Only thing they said is that around 60% of total sales in Q1 came from Cyberpunk 2077.

The also released some other financial information:

https://www.cdprojekt.com/en/wp-content/uploads-en/2021/05/consolidated-financial-statement-of-cd-projekt-capital-group-for-q1-2021-1.pdf

Or, if you prefer

https://www.cdprojekt.com/en/wp-content/uploads-en/2021/05/podstawowe-dane-finansowe-q1-2021.xlsx

Though it might be that you need to load those pages from links on their site[www.cdprojekt.com].

The short form, though, is that they are still profitable -- their profits were lower than predictions, but people doing the crocodile tears thing should probably put a little effort into finding better targets for their emo cravings.

Cdpr hasn't landed any report about the numer of copies sold in 2021. Besides, i've zero interest in feeding youtubers.

They were wronged
No, they were disappointed.

so there is damage done in this.
What damage?

Stop minimizing CDK's actions
How about you stop exaggerating them?

they do not deserve to be defended.
The management doesn't, I agree. They made several bad calls and I personally believe they should be replaced. but the devs themselves did exceptional work, especially considering the impossible conditions they were forced to work under. They deserve lots of credit for that.
That's probably 200 people working on making the game work on prehistoric hardware, 50 people working on expansions, 25 testers, 20 managers and 5 people working on patches and fixing the mechanics.

That or they're just terribly incompetent.

Why?
Then why no update in 5 weeks? This is bs quite frankly.

Yeah, it's not like they had a successful hacking attempt or anything.

Do you know? There's a specific time to release patches?

Because when a very vocal group of people is waiting to twist whatever you say into something damning, sometimes it's best not to say anything?
Because the whole reason people got upset in the first place is because they said too much, too early?
Because they'd prefer to focus their efforts on working on the game instead of PR?
I really like honestly how people defending the game come down to offending people critizing the game. Instead of cooping with reality, going to full out calling people who dislike game names etc.

Also Witcher 3 was WAAAY smler game and even with 7x more devteam they could not manage at least average game. Doubt 300 could make any more difference.

"This week, CDPR revealed that it still had 300 people working on Cyberpunk 2077, six months later, [...]"

I was hoping for that.

That's the CDPR I know. I pre-ordered at GOG. Everything's good again, for me, if they fix their content.

Ultimately everyone hopes for the same for game to live up at least to normal status quo.

Since CD Project received government grants to make the game and were or still are being investigated about it due to the state of the released game, it makes sense that they still have a large dev team trying to fix the game. It is not like they are suddenly going to have another big game come out anytime soon so they need to make this game right before they even announce another game publicly.

Investors pushing them for new product though because this one does not make no profit anymore, thats why thry shuffling team away from Cyberpunk.
