Once you manage to get onto the wider tracks as mentioned above (i. e. the ones with concrete platforms to the side of the actual track about as wide as the track itself) you don't even need to jump off a roof. You can just stand on the track itself, face an oncoming train and time the jump well, so you don't get hit or jump over the train. Riding on random cars is a bit more fun, actually, though they also disappear or just stop in place.

No sh**. The point i was making is that it was nothing to be that disappointed about. Still isn't. Its just a train.
