Healing items straight up not working for me!

I've searched forums and cannot for the life of me find anyone having the same issue. I have over 100 hours into the game on my one character. Of course I've encountered bugs and glitches galore, but not of them too gamebreaking (usually fixable with a restart), until yesterday...

I was doing a cyberpsycho mission and tried to use a Maxdoc to regain health and I did not receive any health. It literally played the animation and screen flash effect, but no health regained. It does this for as many times as I use the item. I've tried reloading, going to a past save, but nothing I do seems to work. Please help! I've destroyed so much time on this game to let it all go to waste!

Maybe I'll just have to wait for another hotfix. It definitely grinds my gears though.

I apologize, I meant the Maxdoc. It doesn't heal me at all when I use it. Not a single healing item I find heals me when I use it. That's the problem.

Well that is annoying, and very strange. You will be happy to know that the hot fixes are mostly not save compatible so it probably will be a restart anyway.

I guess it's my fault for not fully heeding the warnings. I made it so far though. Even beat it and reloaded for a different ending. I guess I'll play it on a harder difficulty next time to make it more interesting for the 80% of the game I'll have to replay.

That is not the case. I played from the day one through all the hotfixes and all my saves are working fine. If you got that bug with the save corruption before it was patched - tough luck, those will not load, otherwise saves should be fine.

Do you have any healing cyberware installed? Blood pump, bioplastic blood vessels, biomonitor? Any health regen related perks? If yes - make a manual save in separate save slot and try to remove/exchange cyberware, then buy 'tabula e-rasa' to reset perks. If this will help - you can swap cyberware one by one to eliminate culprit, purchase again perks except health-related and then add them one by one. If this won't help, you can just reload.
