No. They said not to use files form untrusted sources. CET is safe. In fact, they have a "fix" for the vulnerability already.
There is nothing wild was claimed. In fact, it's underpromising and overdelivering. People got even more than was promised. Check the comments under the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfzUoDAEqJY&t
As far as I know, there are several tested presets of the .ini files with settings (files with the game's settings), and now, there is new stuff was added for CPU Boost mode, and there are links to the Microsoft Docs in the tool where it explains what it does. It's not magic, but just a smart approach to tuning different stuff. It works like a charm, so I'm very happy.
It changes settings that you don't have in the game menu. And they also added their own preset of settings that you can enter yourself in the game. Worked better for me than digitals foundry's settings, while the graphics is great.
So, their optimized settings + Balanced mode 2.0 + battle mode - and the game runs like never before. That's why everyone begging them to make optimizers for other games.
Dumping down grafix is the only thing you can do right now for this bad optimised game.
It looks the same, the graphics is great.
