Was Not Prepared for the Gay Sexuality in this Game

I was totally stunned by all the homosexual advertisements all around the city as I began exploring. Watson ♥♥♥♥♥ and other homosexual Ads plastered all around the city. Anyone else like me that was totally clueless as to what this game was going to feature ? After spending over 100 hrs on this game... it feels over sexualized for homosexuality rather than hetero. The developers clearly built a game centered on the future that they feel will be mostly Transgendered and people not sure of their sexuality. Thoughts?

hold on.... we have people who have religious reasons to be against homosexuality..... playing a game full of adultery, drugs, rape, gang violence, murder, suicide, etc.... and their issue is with the number of homoerotic ads???? Am I reading this thread correctly?

Like I stood in an elevator and watched an ad for snorting meth to be more productive.... but the only ads I'm seeing complaints about so far (at least in this thread) are some homoerotic ads by some brothels and strip clubs.....

Heck,call me old-fashioned,I play as male,me myself and I,unless forced to play as female like in Lara Croft/Hellblade and similar games where you are forced by default to play as female character.
But to choose to play as a female in an ARPG that gives you an option to play as a yourself and complain about gay sexuality is beyond my understanding.
Gay people are great,awesome friends and colleagues.If you have a problem with equal representation straight/gay/ts thats your problem,not the game.

People have shown that different things are 50/50 on different sexuality types in the game (also news flash, gay vs. straight are not the only two options) but people are so used to straight being the norm everywhere that having equal representation doesn't feel equal at first glance.

If 98 of 100 people are straight there should only be 2 gay commercials for every 98 straight commercial and there should only be 2 gay romance options for every 98 straight ones.

What you call equal representation is gross overrepresentation.

You're right. There is way too much.
These people are a tiny minority. Unless the people living in the Cyberpunk universe are trying to virtue signal then why make all this gay stuff all over the place.
The transgender and homosexual vibe does fit in the universe though. It is a hedonistic "society" on the brink of destruction, only "self expression" rules and everyone is looking for the easy way out. The people of this society has no connection to anything but themselves.

It's litteraly Sodma and Gomorra all over again.

why is there ANY sexuality stuff all over? It's as you said a hedonistic world, with legal brothels and special forces police killing people in the streets.... I really don't understand why having a mix of homoerotic ads in with the other ads is really the hill people are willing to die on as THE problem...

It's exact. Straight is the norm everywhere and homosexuality is faaar to be equal in the real world.
It's why some people have some problem with movies or games where they see more and more the opposite these last years, and feel forced to a kind of propaganda. It's probably the problem.

I agree but in a opposite light.
Homosexuals are so used to being overrepresentet that being fairly included as the percentage of the population they actually are feels like oppression to them. Even if it's just a fair and equal representation of their numbers.

They want overrepresentation everywhere. They have privilege and they are scared of loosing it.
