AFTER 1.2 PATCH --- Game Crash on menu ability
I don't know if this happens to you too, but after updating the game to patch 1.2, I can no longer access the skill selection menu. The game suddenly stops.

After 70 hours of gameplay, and no major issues previously encountered, I am left with the game unplayable.

Yup. This patch is so big that a new game may be required.

that basically golden rule for any game from 90's new patch new game for no compatibility issues. Hell when xcom 2 patches came out i started new game, because if i did not then i would have performance and loading issues.

maybe you have some mods that you downloaded before and because the game just updated it crashes?

Did you do a verify check? It seems for some reason it may have to be done first before playing. Then again there are a lot of fixes and changes, so maybe a new game start or setting reset to default may need to be done. They did do changes to the keyboard layout, maybe you need to go to the menu setting and reload the defaults and reassign them.. Just throwing it out there..

I have no crash on character abilities. However, I always crash when clicking on some weapons in the crafting tab. As soon as I see the name of the weapon like "O'five" appearing on the right panel, it crashes. I can't seem to be able to fix it, and I have no mod installed as well.

If this proves to be true, it also clearly shows that cyberpunk was actually sold in early access as an official release. Big patches in EA almost always guarantee a reboot, even today, 30 years after the 90'.

It is pretty much an early access title.

not true? i just reloaded several of my 120+ hour saves and it works fine.

i had to uninstall my mods as they were making the game crash, but that's to be expected.

UPDATE : After asking Steam to check the files, it repaired 3 files and now I don't have the crash in the crafting tab anymore. Did you try to check for corrupted files? It's the first time Steam downloaded corrupted files in the first place!
