It had been officially fixed before seems they don't test their patches before release, there was a mod on nexus that removed AVX requirements too but its outdated and doesn't work with the current version i don't know how to fix it maybe try asking the mod authors on nexus for a update, or wait for another official patch that removes it again which might never happen.

Is it that the CPU has AVX (active vector extension) and the game doesn't use it?
Is it that the game needs it but some CPU's don't have it?
I'm guessing it's the second one? Is there a list somewhere of CPU's that have/don't have AVX? Or AVX-2 or AVX-512?
My patch download is at around 85% after 20 hours. Yes, pity me that I'm stuck with a 4mbps DSL connection where I live. When it's finished, I'm hoping I don't have any problems, but if I do, it'd be nice to know where to start looking. Thanks.
System has an I9-10900K.
Your I9 is fine as far as AVX goes you shouldn't have any problems with AVX crashes its only a problem for people with old processors made before 2011 like some I3-I5-I7s first gen if your game crashes its likely something else unrelated.
Yep.
Nobody asked your opinion if you don't have any issues move on with your sodium elsewhere, this topic is to help people understand their game crashes and find possible solutions not elitism.
As a side-note, I have over 100 hours in this game essentially bug free. The biggest hitch I've ran into was when an NPC who's name I forget wouldn't get in her truck after I rescued her. A quick search on the phone said "save and reload," which worked the second time I tried it.
Plenty of GLITCHES (things floating in the air, half-people appearing from nowhere, drivers without cars, people talking over each other, etc.), but no game-breakers or CTD issues YET.
If I start having a bunch of them, I'll be sure and mention it here as some sort of confirmation that this patch is borked. Literally nothing else has changed about my rig. I9-10900K, GTX 2070 Super, plenty of RAM, ZERO mods installed for this game. Let's see what happens.
Kind of excited, actually. Either it'll work fine, or I can lose my ♥♥♥♥ all over CDPR like everyone else here.
What will it be? Stay tuned. Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel!
I'm old though, and I remember those commercials. And the pop culture references more recently.
That's like complaining your PS5 games don't run on your PS3. Get real.
Is it so hard for you to understand that avx implementation can be optional since the game was working fine for me and a lot of people just before 1.3? Do you know the fix for the last avx crashes back in 1.0 was a simple hex edit in the game exe and there is no reason they can't just make it so the game detects automatically if your processor have it or not and use if it does? like i said to the other guy if you don't have problems and want to be elitist move on.
