You don't have Berserk or Sandevistan, so don't just rush into melee.
Be aware of snipers.
Any cyberware that is triggered by low health is a failsafe.
You'll need a good defense for melee, so buy legendary clothes, craft Armadillo.
Use Flashbang Grenades at the start of combat to stun any enemy, then charge in.
Breach Protocol before every fight to de-buff enemies. Another cool trick is to pop a Bounce Back before combat encounters as it will continuously heal you when you get damaged.
Don't forget, as a netrunner you can Reboot Optics, Weapon Glitch, etc.. which makes enemies helpless, then you just charge in and slice them up. You'll want your quickhacks to spread from enemy to enemy to maximise the range and efficiency of these de-buffs.
I only play on Very Hard, and this used to be one of my builds, a few months ago. Never really died, tbh. Even early game. Just be smart about it.
Legendary Reboot Optics will make the NPC's go blind once they see you (after using breach protocol), so they just stand around while you chop them up. Legendary Short Circuit will shock them with any weapon when you get a critical hit, and in Cyberpunk it's pretty easy to get a 100% crit chance. So an extra 2k plus damage per hit is handy.
Combine those with with optical camo and synaptic accelerator which will slow time for a few seconds once an enemy sees you and you're pretty unstoppable.
They already let you do that with their brilliant AI.
