why is there an invisible barrier between the city, and the new aldecadoes camp

this seems like a very weird decision. I drove up the mountain seeing if I could get up it. I could, but I was just greeted with a "turn back or else get teleported back into the map."

Uhhh... why? I don't get why I can't just drive offroad up the mountain to get there. I know it's a small problem, but pointless invisible walls get on my nerves.

Mh, I never tried to drive to the Aldecaldo camp, I just travelled via FastTravel (they have a FT terminal in their new camp).
I think I once drove off the camp, so it should be reachable as well by road.

My assumption would be: because you'd cross the mansion. potentially DLC

I think the road towards north from "Rocky Ridge" should be safe to drive.

Yes. I know you can drive there by following the roads lol. My question was why they put a barrier on the mountain when you can drive there. So now theres a weird barrier in the middle of the map

I know exactly what you are saying. They probably just didn't do that part of the map.

Compared with RDR2 or TW3 in which you can go beyond the limits of the map and still have a large accessible area that is somewhat rendered, in Cyberpunk you literally aren't even allowed to go certain areas WITHIN the map.

every game world has its limits, its not uncommon to see this kind of thing, Mods can disable it on some games but then you would be just be browsing around empty areas

If you want to go offroad look at the longer road section that goes to the Northeast, lots of open spots in the black around it can be driven

yeah its weird for it not to just be some more of the sand hills etc I found when I was trying to do the crime mini side quests I couldnt drive straight from one to the other. If they really wanted people to not go there then why not have a militech barrier and some kind of super weapon that pops you or something if you dont turn back

Can't wander out to the mobile sea launcher which has a Star ship on it.... Bugger.

Can't put a bike on roller coaster either,I tried......
