*a cyberpunk fan should already have played all the older titles already, as there aren't that many :D (Deus Ex series, Shadowrun, Syndicate, Satellite Reign..)
GTA vice city i liked to play taxi and listen to my own mp3-music for hours, but i heavily dislike the "gta mission struture" and the forced protagonist, the lack of verticality and how everything is just same-same.
It is like going: "Mario Bros has better platforming"
"Counterstrike has better gunplay"
"Planescape torment have more text"
"Vampire TM have better vampire lore"
"Witcher 3 had a better geralt and magic spells"
I like cyberpunk 2077 for what it is,
eventhough i had hoped they would add more systems to night city, and i hope they will work on the framework for skills and perks they already have (gta have none).
(I know other people rated it highly. That does not mean I enjoyed playing it.)
(Edit: if I remember right, it felt like a controller game, rather than a pc/mouse game. Though it has been years since I tried it, so I might be remembering wrong.)
The choice is simple if that is all you are basing it on.
I don't go around watching where the npcs go. I was to busy actually playing the game. So the crowds are good enough to look busy, and they actually change quite a lot depending on where you are and what time it is.
CP2077 is a full game, wether or not you think it should have had more or not. It has a structured story, and a clear beginning and end.
I encountered exactly 0 gamebreaking bugs. A few rare visual glitches, and I had to save & reload my game 2 pr 3 times, but nothing more than that.
The biggest problems seem to be, people having defect PCs and crashing, People having corrupt game files, and the worst of them seems to be having the game on an HDD instead of an SSD. Those 3 seem to be the most common issues on the pc version by far from what I have seen.
And still, if Rockstar can't craft a story and characters that actually interest me, nothing else matters anyway. I won't play their games on that fact alone, as that's the most important factor in these kind of games for me.
