Crafting Elemental Katanas
Simple Question, Is It possible ? I am nearly max level I feel like I'm reaching the end game and I finally get to craft my own Katanas something I want to do purely to get the full rainbow of my own custom weapons. But It seems like the game hard locks you into only physical damage on Katanas Even though the crafting screen says it can be any of the four colors of death. I've tried to play the system I can right now craft more then 100 katanas and have yet to see a single one that is anything but Physical .. I know no one who will fix this game is looking here but If this is a glitch can someone more well informed let me know or if its never meant to be give me the bad news.

no. besides i got a question for you

if there's a perk that heals you when you're striking a bleeding enemy, and bleeding is associated with pysical damage, why the hell do you even want anything else on your katana???????

As I Feel like I wont be getting any helpful information here I'll reply to your trolly comment. I have maxed out the Cold Blood and Blades Skill Trees. Not only do I not need you to tell me what skills I already have I should inform you not all enemies can be bled. Though the scalpel can solve that Issue my desire was to see If the Crafting screen was lying to me and If the Poison enhancing skills in the Stealth Skill tree would also apply to a Chemical damage Katana.

What katana are you trying to craft? When you craft a normal weapon you are supposed to get a random type of bonus damage, base damage doesn't chance. Iconic weapons are fixed.

Satori is the best katana in the game, all else sucks in comparison.

no need to even upgrade it to Epic or Legendary.

Normal Katana you get the crafting Specs at level 18 and like any normal weapon It shows all 4 damage types and says their randomly chosen. Put into practice you only ever get physical damage No mater how many times you craft it. I was hoping someone here might have gotten an answer for this question already (either from the dev team or from someone who went code hopping) . I've had no luck so I must assume the Devs just forgot to remove that text when you are crafting Melee weapons when they should have.

There's no schematics available just yet for the "elemental katana", theres only for the basic katana only. If there's one you probably need to get it through the console commands.

Thank you for your opinion but I'm not looking to min/max here I already kill just about everyone with a few slashes of the Katanas I already have. I'm more looking to get a full collection before I switch up my stats and Can no longer craft these weapons anymore. Something Nice about having everything you can have max Tier and knowing you made every single weapon there.

If that is true and the Specs I unlocked are only for basic Katanas I would have appreciated It if they would have taken the time to remove the text that say you will get a random damage type. But As much as I have played this game and obviously like the gameplay loop there are a lot things they just forgot or have yet to fix. Might I add my super funny glitch to the mix. My level 40 character once tripped over a shopping cart and instantly died from it. I have no other possible reason for the death ... he stepped on the shopping cart that was on the ground and fell over dead.

Stepping in uneven ground (trash bag, sofas, tables, etc) which proceeds to "sliding animation" sometimes deal high damage as the game "thought" our character are falling.

I know why I was damaged -lol- but the fact that a shopping cart could kill me suddenly without warning was funny to me. I can take down a whole crew by slowly walking at them and eating their bullets just to Slash them once and down them but the all mighty shopping cart fell me in one hit is more funny to me then annoying .. the annoying part is when I'm walking in a straight line and die suddenly for seemingly no reason and have to make the whole trip again. which has often found me just shutting the game down and doing something else.
