Using a turret gives away position
anyone else notice that if you remote control a turret and kill someone with it everyone zeroes in on where you are? I've had this happen to me twice in the game so I know it wasn't a fluke with the area I was in.

My experience is the remote turret hack does nothing. I posted about it and someone said it only works after you've been spotted. But then I finished the campaign before getting a chance to try it again lol. I'll do another playthrough and experiment with it, but probs not today.

It will target the enemies you have tagged, if they are in range.

Its never done that for me, every one attacks the turret then goes into search mode.

Are you clearing netrunners first? As soon as an enemy neterunner is detected they start a search that will ping you. I dont think you get the warning while in remote (at least I know you don't with a camera, its happened to me).

There are areas where there's no netrunners (No Fixers gig, for example), but enemy still can trace you, though it's inconsistent - sometimes they see you spot on even if you're crouched behind obstacle, ignore the turret and rush to you, sometimes they try to break turret and then go into search mode.

Nah this was in the outskirts late main story, no net runners, jacked in on a laptop and controlled the turret. When I shot someone with the turret they all but ignored it and aimed right for my real location and ran to it. No time in between. Makes it feel useless to use the turrets. The other time was my first mission with the VDB.

At least the AI responds to you exploding the head of one of their buddy's. Unlike so many other games .
