Tech/Smart vs. Power
I'm using a tech build and have been looking at comparisons between the three weapon categories. Of the three, power weapons seem to be the least interesting and effective. Are power weapons really the worst of the three, or are there builds out there that could make it competitive against tech/smart?

I think smart weapons are the worst. They get me killed cause they are inconsistent. (Especially skippy. Who sometimes shoots whenever it wants.) I can shoot further, straighter, and faster than a smart weapon. And I can also shoot grenades in the air a lot easier with other weapons than I can with a smart weapon.

Smart is for people who can't aim.
Tech is for people who want to win fights without taking damage, but the only tech weapon that doesn't suck is the precision rifle.
Power is for people who want more dakka.

power can be fun but tech is just to op vs it :/
not a fan of smart personally but i can see it being rather good if you like it.

No-one gonna mention the super OP fourth category?
(no, this isn't a troll post but I do want to see how many people know what I'm talking about)

I am not too much of a fan on smart weapons, better weapons seem to get the job done more so. but in my fight I mix the use of both Tech and fire power. You know, burn one guy down with breech tech while blasting at the other with my gun, then ping a light to get a head count as I sneak over and get on with it again. So I combined both styles.. like using the force and a blaster rifle or light saber together sort of speak..

Comrade's Hammer is all you need. So yes Tech.
Smart weapons are good too but very inconsistent + some enemies have smart jammers. So always have some Tech with you too.

Psalm 11:6 is a good power weapon that can stand up to tech and smart guns.

I use smart weapons the most now. (Divided We Stand and Skippy are my fav). My first play through I used Widow Maker (tech) to blow the crap out of everyone that came near me.

:lunar2019crylaughingpig: Yeah sometimes I feel like I'm a jedi using the force instead of hacking.

I'll take that as a "no" then. The best class of weapons by a mile are the cover-penetrating power weapons. Overwatch and Malorian Arms 3516 are good examples, but I know there are a few others as well. All the benefits of a tech weapon with none of the downsides.

EDIT: plus, with Malorian Arms 3516 hitting someone with a body shot, power-sliding up to them, and then using the under-barrel flamethrower to finish them is one of the most badass things you can do in this game.

Trick question, the answer is quickhacks

Smart worst
Tech bad
Power good

Why?
You can see through the walls

I've been using shotguns now on my second character, and sovereign upped to max with shotgun talents combined with hacking to drop enemies resistances and auto blinding them when they see me is stupid amounts of fun.

Also the fact that its range is pretty much equal to an AR is pretty awesome.

*ignores that there are maybe like 3 enemies in the game with more than 5K health*

Or for literally shooting beyond cover - Having a Shotgun hit every single pellet is FUN.

Try them and use the ones which are the most fun for you.
