So I heard in 2020 Johnny Silverhand was a but of a Neo Nazi? (spoilers)
So yeah I been reading a lot of the short stories written by Mike Pondsmith about Johnny Silverhand and it would see that the character originally had some rather controversial views on race?

Also looking at the Rockerboy sourcebook for 2020 it contains an article "Hitler was a Rockerboy" suggesting a link between the rockerboy class and Nazi ideology.

To be honest I really was not expecting this considering his portrayal in 2077, guess they had to clean the character up quite a bit for the game?

Well then it's a good thing that you get the Cyberpunk rulebook as extra content with the game :P ( it can be found in the gamefiles )
You mean cp2077 already has the rulebook for the tabletop game?
It's the older Cyberpunk rulebook which takes place in 2020 but it should be a problem turning the dial a little bit forward to your liking :P. personally i had hoped for the cyberpunk red rulebook, it simplifies the game a fair bit.
What I understood was that there is a rulebook on the game files.

In the most basic of all summations -- the 'Rockerboy' is the D&D equivalent of the 'Bard'.
It's a class that literally wins over crowds and people with charisma and performance.

The links are pretty obvious in role-playing game terms.

Huh... Didn't know it was included. This brings back GURPS memories. Cheers!

I never noticed that. Kind of strange that they decided to include Cyberpunk 2020 and not Cyberpunk Red, which is actually closer to the actual rules in this game.

Red just came out and theres no way R Talsorian (Pondsmith) could give millions of copies away.

Maybe theyll give the "Jumpstart Kit" out for free with a later add on or something.

Johnny wasn't racist. WTF are you even talking about? He served in the Central American Wars. Started to become disillusioned with Corps. Then when they took Alt and used her own program (Soulkiller) against her and killed her. He snapped and started to riot against Corps primarily Arasaka.

They have tweaked a bit of this timeline in the game making it seem that Johnny was deep in his anti Arasaka revolution before Alt got captured, but in the tabletop. She is the catalyst for him being more aggressive and violent.

The reference to Hitler is simply about charisma. Charisma is what launched Hitler into power. The ability to move the masses much like a Rockerboy.

No one literate would have claimed this was a game about "playing a nazi class", but that was what the OP implied.

I dunno mun I am pretty sure you must be misinterpreting my post or creating a strawman to get upset about.

Never said anything about Cyberpunk 2077 being a Neo Nazi simulator, in fact I specifically pointed out how CDPR cleaned up and changed Johnny's character to be less of a racist, they even changed Johnny's hair from blonde to black to further distance the character from the Aryan supremacist movement.

Lrn2read mun.

That was you, in the OP.

And I think we've established that on purpose or not you misinterpreted the entire thing, at least at first.

The hair change was because of Keanu. Not because of some imagined evil of blond hair. (Which considering the popular look of "rockers" in the 1980s, made complete sense that Johnny has "big" blond hair when the books came out. It would have looked silly in 2020.)

Again your smooth brain sees connection where there are none. You do not play a Rockerboy in Cyberpunk 2077 and even if you did it appears CDPR are trying to distance themselves from the more controversial aspects of the tabletop.

And I wasn't saying that all Rockerboys are Nazis it does seem like the 2 most notable Rockerboys in the table top (Johnny Silverhand and Hitler) have some pretty racist views, I mean you might not get that if all you played is 2077 and saw the Keanu watered down Silverhand, but if you read the short storied written by Mike Pondsmith about Johnny Silverhand you would be quite shocked at the things he calls Arasaka Corpos and his views on race. That is the character's views not Mike Pondsmith's

I agree that you are not very bright, and seem to struggle with reading comprehension.
