So I heard in 2020 Johnny Silverhand was a but of a Neo Nazi? (spoilers)

So yeah I been reading a lot of the short stories written by Mike Pondsmith about Johnny Silverhand and it would see that the character originally had some rather controversial views on race?

Also looking at the Rockerboy sourcebook for 2020 it contains an article "Hitler was a Rockerboy" suggesting a link between the rockerboy class and Nazi ideology.

To be honest I really was not expecting this considering his portrayal in 2077, guess they had to clean the character up quite a bit for the game?

Johnny Silverhand in CyberPunk 2077 is a terrorist, even by his own admission, you can see stories of him in collectibles and even the news stations air stories about him setting off a nuclear bomb at corporate headquarter for I believe Arasaka

"A humourous article" makes it sound more tongue in cheek than anything. Not to mention, it's a quip about the character archetype, not the character of Silverhand. Sounds like a lot of assumptions based on a single line in a wiki to me.

If you read the short stories Johnny has a real problem with the Japanese for some reason, it is why Arasaka is his main target even before they took any retaliatory action against him or Alt.

I guess they changed his hair from blonde to black in the game as well because he has some uncomfortable views on Aryan supremecy. I think CDPR are trying to distance themselves from these aspects of Johnny's character especially after the controversy with the Voodoo boys and the trans poster

I've seen some fans of the tabletop saying that Johnny was actually much more of a psycho with huge flaws and a crazy mind.

Since I don't even like the actual Johnny Keanu portraits, I wouldn't mind having such a maniac character, as it would add more... Well, how can I put this... Character to him. Personality and stuff.

Dude, OP just brought a subject. I myself literally hate race supremacy and even I thought it would be cool to have one like that in the game.

Have you ever played disco Elysium? It deals with all ranges of political views in a good fashion.

I don't see why someone can't talk about a character political alignment and it's impact on game design and how a company would need to change it in order to appeal to an audience.

He's worse, he's an idealist who thinks he can change how the world works on his own.

Johnny was anti corp, he hated them all. After Arasaka kidnapped Alt, he became mostly anti Arasaka.
