I see a lot of hate, for what?

A lot of people are hating on this game in here and I can't say I see it. I just beat it and I thought the story-line was enjoyable and enticing, I did not experience any game breaking glitches, I thought it was beautiful playing on Ultra settings. Only downsides I saw of it was occasionally too much or useless dialog where the player had to be involved just to keep the story going and that there is no auto save or message stating to save before completing the final mission so you can free roam afterwards. I got the point of no return message but didn't know this is what it meant. Luckily I have a manual save from two missions before so I can just replay up until that point but I believe I'm going to lose some rank / loot.

Regardless, as an amateur gamer I do not feel this game deserved as much hate as it got. Over-hyped? Maybe, but people were very excited based the ideas / setting of the game, futuristic but not the kind where you fly around 24/7 launching unlimited explosives (AHEM GTA Online). I think a future multiplayer may change some minds. Those complaining how awful they think it is are probably the same ones that complained and sent threats to force them to release a game they didn't feel was truly ready. Developers admitted that, and you're to blame. All I know is, it was a compelling / intriguing and good looking game that I enjoyed spending my time with playing and progressing. The point of games is to have fun / enjoy it, and be enticed into the story-line. I know it did not meet everyone's expectations and this post may fuel the rage among some's souls, but this is my two cents.

As a veteran gamer I don't think it deserved the hate it got.

I still give it a 7/10, but it has problems. If someone gave it a 6/10, I would understand why.

hate mostly comes from broken promises and cut content , many people were expecting cp2077 to be next great game in veins of skyrim or something like that ,that pushes gaming forward ,instead they got mediocre game that didn't brought anything new to the table at all ,it is very story driven game so if you don't like its story or if you like for example dynamic world where AI is reacting to your presence , where things are happening even if you are not doing story missions you are pretty much screwed , so hate it is pretty much justified in this case ,cdpr over promised and under delivered big time so yeah.

Veteran gamer here. I've been reading about cut content in games since I was 13, old news and I also wasn't hyped up to expect the Matrix simulation. I just worry about the game I got and it's good. I understand people getting pissed about bugs. And the critiques for stuff that could have been done better are valid. But overall this game is good. 7/10

the hate is for

1.terrible physics
2. average gameplay
3.Police spawning behind you and no police chases
4.lack of AI in Nightcity and stupid AI
5.no car customization
6.no option to change into third person
7. CDPR lied about the polished state of CP77 on the PS4 and Xbox one
8. Game breaking bugs

It being in alpha state and also being nothing like they said it would be aside the Game is mediocre at best.It just doesn't do anything better than the thousands of other games out there.

-Driving: its not GR:Wildlands bad but its bad.

-Shooting: it felt so lame I restarted and went melee.Guns all felt the same and there just isn't enough of them in general.

-Melee: passable but nothing special you just mash lmb until stuff falls over which with the the right build is once.

Vehicles: Just cars.

-World: Night City is good looking sure but it doesn't make any sense.Its like whoever designed it never went to a real city before.Leaving my car in the middle of the road because there are no parking spaces annoys me more than it should.

-AI: what AI? I could write a novel about this one but lets just stick to "what AI?"

-Customisation: I mean its first person always so it really does not matter for your character and there is no weapon or car customising so there pretty much isn't any.

-Story: I mean its ok but literally nothing you do has any effect on it and your choices don't matter at all.Life paths effect the first 20mins of play only and you get unique dialoge option which also do nothing.

-Character builds:You'll be an unstoppable killing machine in your chosen field by lvl10 unless its shotguns/LMG because they suck...Hard.

-Crafting: Boy o boy is it dumb and so easy to exploit.The rng stats on everything you build is also pretty annoying.

-Replay value: Like I said nothing you do matters so pretty much zero.

The whole game just feels like it was made by amateurs who never played a game before.Everything about it is just....Off.To the use key being F and not being able to rebind it to the mini map being zoomed in to far with no way to zoom in or outThe way you can get the best loot in the game by just finding it on the street at the start of act2.so many things just make you think wtf was they thinking?
