Militech shard not giving money

I decrypted the shard before the going to see Royce, after completing the mission it didn't give me any money at all. This is a bug?

I did once before the mission then twice after the mission and never got the cash.

If you stripped the chip before the mission, you don't get the eddies. If you never touch the chip and you kill Royce or knock him out before handing it over, in the call with Dex you tell him that you kept the chip for yourself. Then you can hack the chip and get paid.

So I knew you had to hack the chip after the mission. I started a new playthrough on 1.5, did the mission and hacked the chip, it doesn't give you the money anymore. This pisses me off.

That makes no sense now.. The devs nerf stuff for no reason.

I assume it's a bug, but it's frustrating because I can't do the mission the way I want to. It makes me not want to continue this playthrough. How did this break?

Ok so boo for necroing the post but since I saw it and JUST did this I'll add what I know.

1. I hacked the chip right after receiving it from Meredith.
2. Gave it to Royce and warned him that it was a trap by Militech and that I wiped the malware off it.
3. Got the bot and fought Militech on the way out.
4. Dude from the trunk thanked me and the mission ended.

Some time at the beginning of Act 2 when I was looking through all the crap in my backpack and deciding what to scrap, I saw the datachip and it said left click to get the money. I did and when I exited out of the menu 10,000 Eddie's went into my account.

Holy crap dude! Thank you! They changed how the chip works. I did not notice that the chip got added to my inventory as an item. I just looked and after I hacked the chip was able to right click the item it added and get the money.

YOU NEED TO GO INTO BACKPACK AND FIND THE CARD AFTER YOU HACK IT. CLICK TO DOWNLOAD THE FUNDS THEN EXIT MENU. YW!!!! :)

The Guy above me said it but ill make it clearer.

Once the mission is over and you have hacked the chip, go into your inventory, go into your backpack and you'll see a Millitech chip with a ! on it. Click it, nothing will happen, now exit back into the game and a little animation will come on the screen transferring the funds into your account
