What's with the lack of romantic partners?
This isn't about sex. And there's frankly enough in the game as is. And what is here is honestly not arousing at all. Its like watching a POV sex scene where you basically have the equivalent of a lap dance with a manikin and your brain is being edited by some hack director who thinks jump cuts make things more exciting. Rather I just don't know why there's so few options for romance.

Legitimately some of the best moments I've had in game are just having heart to heart conversations with characters. The actors and writers knocked it out of the park to the point that I feel like these lines were ripped straight from real situations. I love the moments where you just sit down with people and hear about their lives and how they cope with things. Like working with Judy's side quests had me nearly in tears at how much she's been through or actually caring if Panam dies during a mission.

As it stands there are four possible romances and only two of which you can actually access in game per playthrough depending on your gender. And if you have a voice apart from your gender, you get one. This is actually WORSE than the options Dragon Age 2 gave us because at least you could be any gender for those.

I know I should be happy that this game left me wanting more but... why isn't there more??? At least more characters I can go in depth with. Know their feelings, their dreams and what makes them tick. Bugs and all the problems aside with the game (both at release and currently) this has remained the one point for the game I've never changed on. PLEASE just give me more of this. The sex I'm pretty lukewarm on. Its more awkward than any of the sex scenes in all three Witcher games. Yes, even the first game.

One time events dude, doesn't really qualify. Also, Johnny has to be in control for some, so Really doesn't qualify.

just because the "Devs" want me to bang panam in game, doesn't mean i now wish to go out and bang a bunch of trucker driving women -shrug-

I mean, this isn't a dating sim, so you don't "have" to bang Panam. No one is making you. Your choice to do so is your own, the game is 100% playable without any romance options.

funnily enough that even in that Clouds mission out of dozens of options apparently only binary couple is offered to you to choose from. perhaps it has something to do with MC's illness, that would perfectly explain why our character doesn't have many options for romance and aside few intercourses has only one actual (possible) love interest. but nah, probably just lazy devs

She looks like a bum, for starters, with dirty clothes and hair. Why would a corpo want to romance something like that?
So yeah, the total lack of choice is dissapointing, the devs have made 4 options, yet 3 of those are of no intereset to 80% of their player base, even Bioware did better, despite their fixation on gays and mythical female gamers.

Agree. My Corpo girl wouldn't go anywhere near her.
My Nomad guy tho.....DAT ASS!!!! lol

Her hair and clothes are NOT dirty. Can we stop with the hyperbole about this game already?

Oh. You're one of those kinds of people. Now I get it.

i recall that mission, and I recall it having plenty of options to not have any romantic subtext. So, not sure why you read into it otherwise.

Thee is zero romance in Cyberpunk. You do have purvey sex but no romance. Bioware were the kings of proper romance back in their heydays, but sadly CDPR seems to consider anal sex and blow jobs as romance.
The closest you will come to romance in Cyberpunk is stroking the cat.

when comparing to other games like baldurs gate 2 with romances where if you ♥♥♥♥ up you have to reload the game and repick choices, i can assure you, nothing remotely happened like this on cyberpunk and i still ended up sleeping with her?

It is possible to have romance involve anal and oral sex. Missionary isn't the only way to have intimacy in a romantic relationship.

If you meant that the romantic interactions leading up to the sex scenes are not romantic, then you should have said so, but I can think of dozens of romantic scenarios that involve less vanilla sex positions. So could most of my past girlfriends.

End result yes, but as you say there is no build up, they have cut all that out (the romantic part) It's all about bang-bang with squelchy overtones. CDPR might consider all gamers as screen boners.

It isn't as bad as it could be. I did not expect this game to deliver on high end romance content, because it is not, as I said, a dating sim.

I find it all kind of funny that people are so upset over the inability to have Judy as a romance option as a male. I mean, the creators of the game may be guilty of many things, but you can't accuse them of actual wrongdoing here because they made a creative decision to make X character straight or homosexual. Just because a straight male wants to do the hetero sexy times with a lesbian doesn't mean the lesbian is obligated to suddenly like men. The creators decided to make characters who have actual realistic sexual orientations, and this has gotten so many people pissed off it is nearly comical.

It's a game, and we all paid the same price. We shouldn't have to play the opposite sex in order to see the full content. What people do in their single player games has zero impact on your life. Keep your ideology out of the discussion please. Nobody wants to hit on any real lesbian, they want to romance Judy because she is one of the only interesting characters with enough story to even care about.

Agreed. At least it has relationships. I particularly like the relationship you can strike up with Johnny. It doesn't come to bang-bang but at times get close to romance.
