FACT: The "MALE" clothes options SUCK, unless you like Clowns.

OK I'm playing the game, I like some of it, I hate some of it but come on this clothes BS has got to stop. I am 150+ hours in and everything I find looks like total A$$ in a can. Seriously.
My V looks like he's a Clown in a Fruit Loop Circus.

Every single clothing item I find or can craft is f'ing BRIGHT Yellow, PURPLE and PINK, or Neon GREEN.
Every clothing Item I can craft is disgusting and makes me not even want to do anything with it but sell it.

My V is currently wearing Black and Red Samurai Pants... (the only thing I have found that doesn't make me feel like going and watching Musicals.)

I did have a Black and Red Samurai Shirt, but it started sucking and cost too much to upgrade.

I found a nice Rocker Jacket (that's what it's called) that was blackish, but it's a common, and I already upgraded it so far, but it has no Mod slots.. (FK U CDPR)

I'm wearing knee high Yellow Boots (only because they are Legendary with 4 mod slots)

A red and Black Netrunner Suit that I crafted, (at least it would be cool if it wasn't completely covered by the rest of my Captain Slurpdanob outfit.

A Pink and Purple Legendary Jacket with a Tropical Sunshine emblem on the back rounds out the ensemble, (giving me 4 mod slots - it's the only jacket I have seen with 4 mod slots)

I also have on what looks like giant Purple Welding Goggles, and Yes a GOLD BANDANA wrapped around my f'ing head. All because they are both Legendary and give a total of 6 mod Slots.

OH and don't think CDPR doesn't have the ability to make cool looking clothes. I see other Characters/NPC's wearing them all the F'ing time. They just don't drop those items.

Like For instance kill any of these guys that have cool clothes/uniforms:

-Cops/Max Tac
-Border Guards
-Militech Soldiers
-Body Guards
-Maelstrom
-NetWatch
-Voodoo Boys
-Arasaka ( I did get an Arasaka Ball cap from one of these guys once.)

I have killed hundreds of them.. Literally. If they drop anything at all it's F'ing Skirts and Pink/Purple and Neon Green Jackets, and Midriff Cutoff Female Sweaters. WTAF?!? My character is a F'ing GUY.. And he's a BadA$$ Stealth Assassin Mercenary Hacker.

Why is he dressed like he's in a PARADE for Carnival? What about STEALTH does CDPR not understand?

Before any of you say it. Yes I have been to every clothing store, and bought every crafting recipe I can find and its the same rinse and repeat BS. I even reload the stores multiple times by waiting 24 in game hours and going back in repeatedly to find another Pink and Purple Mini Skirt, or Skin tight dress.

Seriously this forced BULLSH1T is really turning me off of this game.

1. it's cyberPUNK
2. You can buy purple grade clothing with 2 slots. Shop around the clothing stores and you can get several matching sets.
3. There are 40+ legendary clothing pieces you can find. there are 5 or so complete sets there as well.

3. Well I am glad I have the Youtube Brigade here to tell me about all the stuff they discovered by watching a video and taking all the excitement and surprise out of the game. You know some of us actually like to simply discover what a game has to offer, Not research every single aspect to find all the secrets before playing the game.. Kind ruins that whole "Discover and Secret thing... you know". Plus I shouldn't have to search through youtube to discover that there are indeed other Legendary clothes out there.Full sets even..maybe after 150+ hours you might think I would have found some by now right? Nope Wrong.

4. I already stated I knew ALL about the stores, and the MODS, and I have MAXED Crafting
So because of BUGS, and stats not working (which has nothing to do with what I am talking about) I am supposed to be fine with looking like Rainbow Brite everywhere I go.


Also in case you haven't noticed in the thread the trend seems to be most people are in agreement with my assessment. Take that as you may, but I will take it as most people are agreeing with me. Which means the clothes in the game suck A$$.

You can buy several matching outfits from vendors. None of them have anything to do with my little pony. I mean if you are a brony that's cool, good for you. Have a rainbow. You may need to revisit them when their stock refreshes multiple times to get full matching sets.

You can buy mods from the clothing vendors so you won't miss out on any of your precious stats. Even the legendary ones. Most of the stats don't really mean all that much anyway. With perks you can 1 hit kill most things on very hard difficulty. Naked. So keep on wearing those best in slot clothes you got because they really make a difference...

Not my fault you cant find any of the legendary clothing(s) that are scattered around the city and surrounding areas. If you do the missions, side missions, gigs and NCPD hustles they literally lead you past several of them. Like you would trip and fall over them if that was a thing. Use your scanner and the little orange box will let you know you found the right spot. Several others are VERY well hidden so quite easy to miss. Maybe you need to upgrade your optical implants. I hear Kiroshi is the best.

And if you really knew about the stores.
And knew about the mods.
And the crafting.

And yet. the end result is still the same. You chose to wear the clown clothes.

Pretty early on I realized the game wasn't getting any easier with better clothing or mods all that much so I just dress in whatever looks cool and just upgrade it periodically. I almost never wear a helmet or headpiece.

I have been playing RPG's since the fk'ng 80's when they were still Pen and Paper. Try Looking Up DND 2nd Edition, the original Cyberpunk, and Shadowrun, and yeah the First Final Fantasy to ever hit American Shores.. Yeah I was there, and I am still here. New to RPGS.. Man you don't have a single clue about my past. Go ask your Mom to make you and PB&J and some warm Milk, and bring it down to the basement for ya. GTFO.

Cyberpunk themes are neon and obnoxious, consumerism is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ main topic and everyone's fighting to get attention so that the clothes sell better; this all fits into the world and if you're so uncomfortable looking at your armor to the point of getting this pissed off, then maybe you shouldn't play the game at all; play something relaxing that doesn't make you burst a neuron.

Thanks Wrinkledforeskin, but that Armor sucks. Its clear that they were going for a Drunk Biker, 80's hair band wife beater style there and I would never wear that on my character. I am looking for something more along the lines of Stealth/Tactical etc. Darker colors and such. Not a Chrome Biker Vest. Appreciate the Assist though.

I didn't have any pronblem finding cloths to fit my chars personality. You might not find the best gear to fiti it but there was tons of options and many of what OP listed you can actually get in game. Juyst got to shop around and such. I do wish there was more crafting options though. Should be once you break something down you should be able to craft that item.

Lol they have, Jeans come in various styles.

I wear MEN's JEANS, which come in two styles LooseFit Boot Cut in Black or Blue.
If I am not wearing Jeans, I am wearing Cargo Pants, with "Tacticool" features.
And If I am not wearing Cargo Pants, I am wearing Cargo Shorts.
And if I am not wearing Cargo Shorts, I am most likely Dead.
