Can`t pick up evidence

So I just did one of the blue missions where you have to kill people and then collect the evidence to get the reward. The problem is that in a previous misson i already was in that area and I think i looted the box during that time. Now I can`t pick up any evidence because I already did that many hours ago. Is there any way to fix that? I dont want to spend the rest of the game with that one unfinished mission on my map...

If you pick up evidence before you started the mission it usually says mission complete.

maybe you have to scan it ? try pressing tab and scanning some items.

The problem is that it was one of the blue side missions. and I think it was one that only appeared after a certain level. So when i picked the evidence up, the mission wasnt available at that time. and now thatit is available I guess the game just didn't notice that I already have it

And I tried scanning it but nothing happened

What kind of blue job was it? A question mark? Open and "read" every shard that you have.

I think the shard was the evidence. But i Read opened them all just now to se if thatd change anything but it didnt. The quest tracker just points to the bag where the shard used to be.

and the map icon is one of the bats "assault in progress"

I checked the area no enemies near me. even loaded the previous save, killed all again etc. still cant complete the quest

ugh thats annoying . cause I just checked when I did the prophet quest and picked it up.. 13 Hours ago. So ever since then the quest mustve been undoable

Loaded a previous save to see what the datashard was. It was Peter and Jotaro and i did read it, but i guess since I picked it up too early i permanently ruined it

Still active bug. Once i leave the area to do whatever else and then return back i can finally loot the evidence. Well, this happens once. i need to redo this to see if this is a real workaround for this bug.

Also: i did scan, i did explore, i even did dump body in dumpsters and grab every loot and weapon they have.

Edit: for second time i can loot evidence after coming back on another place.

I figured out how to reset this bug. Fast travelling to any location will reset whatever glitches the game may have. This works for any weirdness.

Item pickup is still glitchy ya have to just try from all different angles sometimes until you get the pickup prompt for it, its especially bad in areas that has vegetation and well as on specific robot enemies, it blocks it

I solve it on another way: quicksave and then Alt+F4. Relaunch the game and you can pick up evidence without problems.

this happened in a NCPD mission underneath a highway for me and it turns out the evidence box was locked because I had to go find a nearby laptop with some files on it or something and get a decryption key, then when I returned to the evidence box it was no longer locked. So maybe there is some other thing nearby you need to interact with first before the box will open
