Why does Wakako help for free?

After playing again, I wonder. All about biz and eddies to her own words, yet she gives out plans for free. Anyone found anything (shard?) which explains why?
Or is it really the "trash" after the last float leaves?

Wakako is close to the Tyger Claws and the Tyger Claws are Arasako's preferred gang. I took Wakako's involvement to mean that she'd taken sides in the Arasako civil war.
