I found a way to deal with Delamain quest Epistrophy bug.

I'm sorry for my poor English.

There is a bug in Delamain's quest Epistrophy where you cannot get a call from Delamain, making it impossible to progress.
I've been questing for a while to see if I can fix this bug, and finally found a way to fix it.

How to fix it
When you start the Epistrophy quest (you can do it from Tune UP before Epistrophy for sure), do not load it once and complete it until you have collected all the cars.

Do not load it.
If you do, the phone will not work properly.


Some people have reported that they don't get calls for cars in coast view, but if you drive your car to the designated location before the range is displayed, you will get a call.


This is how I cleared Epistrophy.

To anyone trying the above: Make a save right before entering Delamain's HQ for the first time before Epistrophy starts. Loot the place then be careful not to mess up any car locations. I suggest doing Wellsprings or Coastview first. Those are hostilish encounters and have the most variables for failing (like mistakenly hitting/shooting civilians, hostiles interrupting quest, dying on Coastview ambush etc.). Once all are done go back and get your reward in all one session finishing the quest.

As namro_legio says, never ever load a game during the entire session. I suggest even restarting Cyberpink 2077 exe before attempting. If at any point any Delamain calls don't work, you have to restart the whole process and restart the game just in case you need to wipe out the faulty scripting (my Tune Up pre Epistrophy sometimes bugged out when just trying again without exiting game).

Sorry this player posted a helpful tidbit that only aids some and that they can't magically fix the quest for everyone.

To quote literature - No ♥♥♥♥, Sherlock. This "tip" isn't Delamain specific however. Everyone and their dog have been suggesting to people that they save often and finish what missions they start to avoid issues for weeks though.

And yet, this is the first post I've read about doing this as a solution for the quest. I've had no issues with other quests whete I've saved part way through, but I know the Delamain quest has issues, so I appreciate the OP making this topic so I know how to work around it now. I'm not sure why you have to be snarky to someone simply posting a work around and trying to help others, it's weird.

I'm equally puzzled as to why you're biting at someone pointing out this isn't specific to the one questline, or that it won't help anyone with the more serious bug either - But alas here we are!

I fixed it by reloading before I accepted the quest. Quick save loading had corrupted it for me. I then did all the car quests consecutively.

I never asked you to. I'm not on here 24/7 and the topics go by quick and are usually overtaken by people complaining about CDPR instead of talking about the game. Threads are easy to overlook when I'm not watching for them.

For some reason, it's okay to go 'round and 'round repeating the same thing about CP2077 being a terrible game or CDPR being awful, but it's not okay for someone to post some helpful work around info that others may have already talked about? Good to know.

Sure, okay. Not sure what words I put in your mouth since I didn't say you said any of that. It was meant as a general statement, which is why it's detached from the paragraph responding to your quote.

I have read the other topics. They do not suggest what the OP suggested. What they suggest is that you just restart the quest from the beginning. They don't suggest not saving and loading and just completing the entire quest in one session. The reloading IS what breaks the phone script.

The issue changed it seems over the last few patches from being Delamain not calling at all or updating the wrong part of the quest, to him calling and it breaking and not allowing you to respond or continue the quest period.

All the other "fixes" posted on these forums and in lets plays/guides don't work anymore. This one does.

It worked for me (the second time I tried, the first time I got the unanswerable call bug, despite everything I tried, including this solution; I just reloaded a game before entering Delamain HQ and did the rest of the side quests, then when I only had main quests left I retried Epistrophy and it worked) despite saving and loading during the quest (not before I got Del's first call, though), so even if this fixes it for some people saving and loading during the doesn't seem to always cause the bug...
