and ppl who played as male V are not so much emotionally invested like other players who picked female ... again nothing against male V its just feel better and give more emotional bonus ! .... But although sometimes it does feel female V when try to act really though it does not work haha in some moments but overall female v would be my choice and its better the the male version
Hard disagree on all points.
I usually play female characters, because for some reason they tend to have the better/more convincing VA. Bioware in particularly is usually way better on the female VA than the male.
Not this game. I *adore* the male V VA's delivery, and really dislike the female one most times. She feels... like she's trying too hard. She swings from almost weepy at very minor things, to seething hatred at equally minor provocation... And yet a few times where some actual, real anger would be called for, she seems fairly flat.
Male V? I had to double check the VA, because I could have sworn it was Wes Chatham, I got so much an Amos vibe, from the Expanse series.
I've seen both takes
Personally despite all the disappointment this game gave to me, Cherami Leigh's V has been one of the highs it offered
Loved the character's writing, delivery, voice acting, body language, etc
Aside from a handful idiots who thinks every women in the world should be hyper feminine, now i understand why some people felt her animations felt off sometimes though, even if i don't share that sentiment regarding my V
I wouldn't trade it for male V
Either way having people preferring both Vs over the other means they were both successful at what they did
Doesn't fix the absolute microscopic player appropriation though, but at least V is not insufferable (contrary to Geralt, from my perspective, couldn't get into the Witcher in good part due to him)
I tried my best to make an Amos character! But unfortunately one of the limitations of the character creator is chins/jaws. Wes Chatham has this fantastic, square "Manly Man" type jawline, and there's just no way I could duplicate it.
This was the closest I was able to get...

I remember fem V voice from FO4 I think... Raiders?
Fem V voice is so much better than the Fallout 4 female VA. I wanted to shove her on mute.
If I am not wrong, she covered Jack too.. Mass effect.
Of course they might try to come up with some other excuse or justification, to spin their laziness. But no, it's simply laziness.
