How to beat El Cesar?
There is this quest called "Beat on the brat: The Glen" I have to beat some guy named "El Cesar" but he has way too much HP and I do like 40-60 of damage per punch. How are you supposed to beat him?

I've heard that if you drop a melee weapon in front of them before the fight starts, you can pick it up and immediately use it against them once it does.

The fight will still be insanely difficult, but at least you will be hitting harder than a wet tissue.
doesn't seem to work anymore; probably they fixed it in 1.06. you don't automatically equip what you pick up, and changing weapons is blocked.

He's un-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-killable. Used buffs (food water stamina), legendary gorilla arms, did stick and move tactics, he's killed me over a 100 times, usually in 2 hits, sometimes in one. And his attacks even when blocked on time still do damage and keep continuing through combo's. His reach is ten ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ feet on his elbow jabs and punches. I'm about to just use grenades...

I always watch this before doing them. I think it helps. That and the brawler build.

That guy is bloody pathetic, he simply can’t just beat you with one stupid hit. It’s F***** stupid.

Legendary gorilla arms and high body, reflex and cool.

Anyone else hate how this quest is presented? It's in my journal since almost the start of the game, yet my current character had no brawling skill and no wish to participate in a boxing tournament. Yet there is no option to refuse, and the quest simply stays in my journal forever if I don't do it. I wish there was a way to just cancel it.

Haha I was the same, got it right at the start, tried the twins which took me a stupid amount of retries to actually defeat them using all 5 Ds of dodgeball (Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive and Dodge) and it really peeved me, so like you I left it for ages.

I then was suggested to try gorilla arms (and I used the shock mod instead of thermal) and with 0 brawling, went back to the quest and took down all the other people with no issues. Just run in, power attack from the get go and when they stumble/fall, just lay into them, no fight lasted any more than 10 seconds.

Seriously, gorilla arms and power hit at the start and no other tactic needed. I also play on the second highest difficulty.

This is an old thread lol, I ended up using cheats to buff my V to the max and just play the game with it

Just do it when you are a higher level with Legendary Gorilla arms with 100% damage cyberware and all I do is double dodge, hit a few times, back off then repeat. The twins are so easy, do it with Gorilla arms at SC 20, at about level 10 or 11, usually one hit each.

There is no need to cheat unless you are to low a level to do something. You can set the game to easy rather than using cheats.

Does lowering the difficulty affects the story at all? I just want to enjoy the story and get past all the combat

Other than actually having strength and unarmed feats, just wait until you level up more. Simple.
